Fifa need to change the format so teams like Sweden stop reaching the latter stages of the World Cup. They had a good run but they have no place being on the same pitch as top world class sides like England. The draw is completely unbalanced

England clearly deserved to win this game, however I'm a bit annoyed by their strong physicality. They are constantly elbowing their opponents in the back it's really irritating.

It probably comes from the Premier League which is very physical and accepts a lot strong contacts, but it's not nice to watch for a neutral. There's a difference in football culture which probably explains why England fans don't get along particularly with South American fans.

I’m English ffs. I’m just saying it’s embarrassing that we have to play teams like this who are equivalent to championship standard. It was a stroll in the park for England.

C'mon man don't be arrogant. Yeah Sweden were poor today but they still had their moments and but for Pickford would have scored.

I was surprised with how comfortable we were in the end. I thought Lingard was impressive today, I would have liked to have seen Rashford on sooner too once the game began to stretch.

Nobody would've thought England would make the semi-final & now, have a good chance of progressing to the final

I had them in the final 4 pre WC. In fact, I’m 3 of 3 so far. Probably will be 4 of 4

That was a much more impressive performance from us but still it's hard to judge where we're at, were Sweden worse than Colombia or did we just play better against Sweden? I'd say that Croatia will be a much better test for us but the way this tournament has gone Russia might well win tonight.

At this rate we'll probably be beating France/Belgium in the final and I'll still be questioning if we're good enough to win the tournament. It's nice still being in the tournament at the latter stages anyhow. :)

And this is why I can't wait until England loses, such delusional fans. Need I remind you apart from a 1966 world cup, the English team has never won anything significant, so you may actually look down on Sweden, and yet you are no where near Brazil, Germany, Italy or any of the other big dogs.

Can't wait until reality hits hard.

I’m concerned if we use the same lineup vs Croatia (most likely)

As they have a very technical midfield and capable wide players

Ali and lingard occupy the same spaces. It may work but we can expect to see the ball a lot less

I hope sterling is not affected by the miss, he made great runs all game and kane was self less

I thought we could of made subs earlier, rashford deserves more game time

Sweden couldn’t press our back 3 effectively as they lacked pace

They have done well though, beating Italy and getting to this stage so they DO deserve to be here

That is ludicrous. The draw was just fine. Teams that advance are not responsible for the failings of other teams.

Sweden stunk the place out today, but we reached this stage defeating Holland, France, Italy, Mexico & Switzerland. So some respect is due.

Credit and respect to this England setup.
A very hard team to win against.Playing like a team with the proper balance and the right attitude to take this all the way to the final..and win it.
First time since 1996 footballs coming home doesn´t sound shallow.
England has some pricks masquerading as fans, every team has them.

End of the day, very well deserved win.You lot looks really solid...and I feared you from the get go even if I thought Sweden was going to knick it today.A supporter talking much more than anything else that.

End of the day...Come on England.
You boys bring it back home now.

    Now..where´s me old vinyl..New Order,world in motion?

Why do you say we're delusional fans. Most people in England expect us to lose, me included. I dream about England winning a major trophy but they always let us down. They probably will this time. But they might not.

Sweden were too tired. England was able to rest players against Belgium and were overall a fitter team to begin with (and younger as well, so they had that extra spring in their step). This why Sweden looked to be no match for England today. On a different day, England would have found a tougher Sweden to breakdown.

Sweden aren't prepared to play deep into tournaments. They had only a couple of players who had the physical stamina to do it (Claesson in particular). With important players like Berg, who ply their trade in the UAE, you can't expect your team to really succeed beyond a certain point. He has to play in Europe for Sweden to do better at the Euros. It why he didn't score any goals at the World Cup. This goes for any team. Just look at Portugal. Fonte plays in China and he was mainly at fault for letting Cavani elude him in a goal that put Uruguay firmly in charge over Portugal. He lacked the sharpness that would have had if he played a higher level for club football.

Forsberg did not prepare himself physically for the tournament and he needs to remember that for the next Euros, he'll need to save himself a bit that season for Sweden. Against Switzerland, it was obvious in the way he scored that he actually scuffed his shot. He was tired and simply threw whatever little energy he had left in just trying to get a shot off, never mind actually trying to actually beat the keeper. It took a lucky bounce and went in. It was no surprise to see him subbed out when his team needed him most. Sweden only had Claesson left to create something and it was too tall a task for him. He did manage to string together a play Sweden had practiced on the training ground, but he's not a good enough player to do everything on his own and carry his team on his back.

Sterling possesses no vision and doesn't have enough mental fortitude. For a player coached by Pep Guardiola, you'd think he could spot openings before they emerge. He has to wait to see those openings in order to see them and by then it's too late to act. He's strong enough mentally to forget his last miss and concentrate on getting the next one, but he's not strong enough mentally to make that final pass or score that crucial goal. At a moment where he'll need to deliver, he's someone you could reasonably doubt to deliver. England have to do a better job of getting the ball to Kane in danger areas if they want to win the World Cup. He's their best hope up front to score anything when pressed to deliver.
