R16 July 2 Belgium v. Japan [R]

If anyone I guess Belgium would be a good replacement as far as entertainment ... can’t stand all the defensive Euro ball if I’m not into the teams. At least Belgium has balance.

Funny italy has for the past couple years went all offensive and missed the World Cup. Now every team is using their strats lols.

Cant wait for the France/ Uruguay vs Brazil/ Belgium Semi.

I guess
Russia/ Spain vs Sweden / England-Colombia could be good to with an early goal.

 

Disagree, a team should not be so enamored of good football to the point where they won't use an obvious advantage over a rival. They lack ruthlessness. They should have exploited headers earlier and taken control of the game earlier.

 

what headers? Lukaku is the only big one. Do you mean they should have started Fellaini and just went route 1 from the get-go?

 

Japan needed to go for the jugular & get the 3rd goal. They almost got it but not quite! On that game winning goal they made a tactical mistake by not having enough players in position to defend. They also maybe should've taken the safe route & played for OT when there was only a couple minutes left.rd

But it was those 2 subs for Belgium that really made the difference in the game. Japan could've been overwhelmed by Brazil but it would've still been a great game. I was hoping for that but this Japan/Belgium game is one of the greatest soccer games I've ever seen!

Belgium made mistake for letting Japan score 2 goals.
