We aren't Argentina who can leave a player like Icardi off the team yet still have world class strikers on the bench. It's Raul or absolute trash, I'll take Raul.
Apparently, there's a chance SK come out in a 442 and since there's no way of knowing for sure I'd expect Osorio to use players that can easily fit into either 433/4213 or 3-4-3 Diamond. That probably means the same team except for Teacatito at RW and Layun at LB or right mid. If Korea plays 433 that means we play 433 and I'd expect the game to play out very similarly to the Scotland friendly, except this time we bury more chances. If they play 442, I'm more worried because the 343 hasn't really worked out for us so far. Hopefully we can score early from a set piece or something.
I have a lot of respect for Mexico both domestically and internationally. Another reason unrelated is because I wouldn't have been able to watch Korea's 2002 run if it wasn't for the Spanish channels I had available to watch La Copa Mundial 2002. I still have the song stuck in my head from 2002, "Vamos al mundial, vamos a ganar, La Copa Mundial." Hoping to see both Mexico and Korea advance. Vamos Mexico y Corea!
Korea’s advance to semis was pretty crazy. I still remember that. DAEHAN MINGUK *clap* *clap* *clap* *clapclap*
It's beyond me as to what kind of "trick" our manager will be pulling out of his ass this time around, but if he had a working brain or a pair of balls, then we should be going with the 4-4-2 high pressing counter-attacking game like we did vs Colombia: Don't know why he didn't do the same against the awful and slow Swedish side, but the 4-3-3 inevitably bit us back in the ass. But, if we end up with a 3 back again, then I expect your team to break apart our defense pretty quickly considering the 3 back hasn't worked out very well with the fragile defense of ours, we simply lack the defenders to utilize as CH options, as well as defenders/midfielders to utilize as a wingbacks.
Related to that, I really appreciate the p-u-t-o chant. I don't see any reason to ban it, even if it'll be used against Korea's goalkeeper. It just seems like good banter against the opposing goalkeeper which every real fan can appreciate. Regardless, it's great to see the amount of respect at both sides. Most logical Korean fans don't see us beating Mexico but its an obvious wish from Korea's end to beat you guys. A lot of our matches against Alemania have been actually pretty close. An irrelevant but albeit relevant example is Korea beating a full-strength Alemania in a friendly 3-1 a decade plus back *edit for p-u-t-o censor
There’s way more stress on us to win this game than there was the first match, i’m hoping we didn’t get too comfortable after the first win..
Abundis was good when he was playing alongside Cardozo. I would say Jimmy Lozano and Kikin Fonseca. Guti Pe~na in more recent times. Never thought we was living up to the hype.
I just started a new gig and they got me working 10-9 and on saturdays... wtf i might quit. WC is life
JP doing the Belgium game on fox, that mean we get Nadvarro for our game ?? I have no option since Telemundo on my directv is not HD and my internet is too slow to stream
Was Pineda that guy who could dribble all day but couldn't cross to save his life? And when he hurt his knee he turned to absolute shiet.
