Shaqiri is a very good player, when he wants too. On the other hand, i'm disappointed with S. Milinkovic Savic, he's much better than this.
Argentina should not underestimate Nigeria, but I think the Super Eagles is the type of team Argentina has the greatest chance against in their group.
The forecast for rostov for tomorrow's match is overcast and in the 90s (33). Our poor fitness should rear it's disgustingly ugly head..
Great goals by Xhaka and Shaqiri. Also enjoying the Kosovo vs. Serbia by proxy angle to the game. Granit Xhaka doing the “duart e kryqëzuara” (Albanian eagle gesture) during his goal celebration. Not going to list all of the problems Argentina had leading up to this WC, but Sampaoli was at fault for his decision of going with a 3-back system in their match with Croatia. Their midfield was shut down, and relied heavily on their wing-backs, while Croatia's physical play prevented any kind of momentum/rhythm from building in the Argentinean side. Sampaoli's inability to adapt and lack of tactical flexibility (and poor substitution choices) ultimately cost them the game. Reminds me a lot of STY...
I am surprised that the following documentary about Hiddink's experiences in Korea leading up to the 2002 World Cup has so few views. It was produced this year. It has some footage I never saw before:
Is he speaking in Dutch? I like how the accent is clear and easy to pick up, much easier than French. I think the documentary would have more views if it was in English or Korean. I remember when Hiddink got hired as the coach. This gave me new hope for Korea. This was just a few years after the Asian Financial Crisis hit Korea. I thought of the KFA as being humble and willing to learn from a good coach despite experiencing a humiliating 5-0 loss to his team. I thought this represented Korea in general as Korea had already recovered from the crisis by then, but the financial crisis was still fresh in our memories. Now we have a different leadership in the KFA doing backward things for selfish reasons. I think Hiddink and the 2002 World Cup made the Koreans more optimistic about their own country. Although I was just a student during the Asian Financial Crisis, I saw many people suffer from it, so I know how severe it was. It was like the Great Depression except Korea recovered within a year, so it was more bearable.
Osorio, manager for Mexico, apparently mentioned in his presser that he thinks Korea will be a very difficult opponent, that Korea has great players like Kim Shin-Wook, that the manager has vast experience, and one of Korea's strengths is the way the manager rotates players in many different formations. I can't tell if he's trolling or if he was just struggling to come up with something positive to say. Maybe he did that thing where you end up saying something negative but frame it in a positive way. Like when you tell a fat guy, "Well, you ... you really carry your weight very, very well. I don't know a lot of people who can carry that much weight, but you make it look easy." "Korea ... wow. Wow, Korea, you just change up those formations and gameplans so easily, not even you're prepared for them."
won't happen. Lol trying to egg STY to play KSW. Smart trolling. I swear this group has way too many weird managers playing tricks.
It can happen. Mexicans beat Germany 1-0 ( who were had their worse game in ages) the other day so at this time they are thinking "if I can beat the world champ, then I can easily win the WC", that's mexican logic. Since a great deal of football is psychology, South Korea can pull out a result if they play diligently. I wouldn't be surprised seeing taking the win here.
Not only did Shaqiri celebrate his incredible winner with the 'Albanian Eagle' ... That's the Kosovo flag on his right boot. #OptusSport #SRBSUI #WorldCup pic.twitter.com/canJwn07f4— Optus Sport (@OptusSport) June 22, 2018
Hey, thanks and I wish for the same, but..... Many of our players will probably go with this sort of mentality: "Oh sh*t Mexico beat defending champions Germany . The best approach is to not get embarrassed. 10 men behind the ball, because we will not win anyway. SHM as left back, etc.." Then proceed to concede 5 goals.
Lol, Osorio knows exactly what he's doing. STY is deluded c*nt and Osorio stroking his ego simply boosts Shin's tiny deluded brain into thinking he's the second coming of Guardiola. Shin: "You see the comments lads, even my fellow managers think I'm a competent manager. We're going to play KSW up top and continue our three back system and we'll play just like Tottenham! Hwaiting!" In fact, all three managers in the group are all secretly laughing behind his back right now.
The Germans can assemble a team that discards players in Bayern, Dortmund, Real Madrid, and we still wouldn't be able to beat them, sadly.
