I had water intruding the passenger footwell from a clogged cowl drain (punched it with a broken fishing rod and now it's clear - hope that keeps water out of the passenger footwell!) and the park shift link thing in the shifter broke so I had to fashion a new one out of a chopstick and got it working (was using a mechanical pencil until now... lol)

"Tony, I see that you're wanting to move your team into my territory, which happens to be the capital city of the nation's second-most populous state and which, because of that, happens to also be crawling with activists and political communications professionals. It'd be a shame if someone were to make a call or two to those activists and political communications professionals."

My God, it just keeps getting worse.

I need to take a step back and truly appreciate how life is giving me a slow-motion train wreck to watch in realtime.

    It's such a rarity.

Yes but they’re not on the record as saying that it has the be JUST their proposal that they vote for. A vote for both may be good enough they haven’t said anything regarding both proposals getting yes votes.

It doesn't say where the gift card is for. Maybe it's a prepaid Visa card that can be used anywhere. Maybe it's only good on Crew and MLS2ATX swag.

I'm sure the fine print for the gift card reads something like this:

"Gift card is only valid for the purchase queso or Zima. The aforementioned queso or Zima must then be presented to Anthony Precourt as tribute to His Ambitious Holiness."

He would have fans subsidize his queso habit, wouldn't he?

Wow. Now Hesmer is tweeting out Garble support.

    William Hesmer, CFP® Retweeted Char

Don't count out @thesoccerdon yet. An amazing leader who still has time to turn this catastrophe around. Running from CBus is the easy choice; digging in and making it work requires the talents he possesses. Could be his greatest moment should he choose to #SaveTheCrew

    I told him thusly:

    Jordan Sampson‏ @CybrSlydr 52s52 seconds ago
    Replying to @williamhesmer @leslie0269 and
Wow. Dong Garble one of your clients? The man is a snake, a liar and untrustworthy to the highest level. "Great leader" - call the man what he is, a charlatan who is destroying a community out of spite and lies.

Tough call either way here as I see what Hesmer is trying to accomplish. He is trying to stroke DG's ego to encourage him to do the right thing.

Ultimately if The Crew is saved we are going to be in Major League Soccer and we will need to make nice with the powers that be.

I guess I just feel the Hesmer is trying to pave a path to that eventuality.

Calling Grabble a "great leader" is a bogus cop-out. He's in this position precisely because he ISN'T a "great leader". Stroking his ego is disgusting.

It's possible. Shitheads win in life much more than they should.

I'm feeling positive, though. He's getting hit from all sides and he still looks like a fool whose go-to tactic is to show up and expect to get his way. We've gone from clown car to... I don't even know what's after that.

Not everything he's touched has been awful, but when he and his team have been bad, the incompetence, arrogance, lameness, and now desperation have been staggering.

A part of me thinks it's been fascinating to watch, even if the whole thing is horrifying.

I get what you're saying. I don't disagree. But rather than being obsequious I just think he's laying it on a bit thick.

    Tomato tomahto.

Still, at the end of the day he's asking Garber to save the Crew and I find myself unable to argue with that.

dude... telling hesmer, or anyone else, how they should be 'saving the crew' just isn't a battle worth fighting. this is just more infighting. we're better off not doing this.

Not sure that Dong’s ego can be stroked by a former Crew player. His animosity for Cbus is long-lived and deep.
Ultimately he’ll do what the BoG want, right? Since he answers to them?
Also, as for making nice with the powers that be: Dong is retiring in about a year anyway, isn’t he?

When Judas stabs you in the back and tries to destroy your team/community (Grubble), you don't just stroke his ego and call him a great man despite what he did and orchestrated.

No - that shit doesn't spin. Garble wears this like a cone of shame the rest of his career - no accolades of "great leadership" for this contemptable shyster.

Will has been a Save The Crew advocate. We know PSV will not do the right thing, it will do the easiest thing. Garber is supposedly a leader. Hesmer is calling on him to lead.

I am rather apathetic about it this year because of the obvious reasons. I cannot wait for France 2019!
