Snooze you lose sucka! Anyway, I will add that if the ACC does approve negotiations with PSV to begin it's obviously not a positive thing for us. I'm simply pointing out that all will not be lost. Also, one thought did just pop into my mind. Which one will they talk about first? The RFP or negotiations? If they talk RFP first, and approve it, they might be less likely to approve negotiations. It wouldn't make very much logical sense to implement what should be a fair bidding process, and then five minutes later approve negotiations to begin with one of the developers that would be issuing a proposal.
RFP comes first. There’s no way they pass 64 if the anti 64 group picks up more steam in the next 6 days. The fact that the mayoral candidate is supporting item 60 is big.
Nah, as stated earlier in this thread my car has a #SaveTheCrew bumper sticker!! Taking the good news all the way through New York, Connecticut, Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland like a true hardcore East Coast Ultra.
Better yet, bring it to the NYCFC game on the 14th! I posted in the away game thread earlier this week asking who I would see there, and got zero replies. Inch wide. Mile deep.
has no one asked what in the world that dude is drinking out of the straw........is that pure guacamole??? with sour cream on top?
It's a Coco Loco. It's a fantastic rum and coconut concoction that is best enjoyed under a parasol or palm tree in environs like or similar to Tulum, Mexico.
And I'm having trouble envisioning the scene, after we #SaveTheCrew - How does Garber ever get behind a podium/microphone in this town? Won't he need a Pope-mobile or something to protect him from tomatoes, etc...?
The RFP is #60 and the Precum Negotiation is #64 - however, Pool has said she structured #60 in such a way that it could work concurrently with passing #60 so... Take that for what you will.
Have you had Brew Dog's Coco Psycho? Brother and a buddy of mine had it and said it's the consistency of motor oil and very sweet - even at something like 12%.
ah, okay, just checking, Tulum is freaking excellent, by far my favorite spot to vacay in mexico. everything about it is just great I dont think they have queso there though.
They don't have excellent queso. But if I could be on the edge of town again right now at El Camello Jr with a plate of ceviche and octopus and an ice cold Sol in front of me I'd be the happiest man alive.
While our choice in Swensons' sandwiches is at odds, in other matters we tend to reach similar conclusions. I wanted to go. So very much. But Tim has a show that night. So no dice. Next year. Hopefully. If you would stand with me and my troupe.
yaaas. I need to find a few people stupid enough to go in with a timeshare with me to get one of those 110-120K condos a few miles inland. Bike to the pyramid daily, have beer, tacos, profit.
ElJefe has been saying for months that Austin's tendency toward NIMBYism would block the stadium proposal.
I honestly dont think this one is NIMBYism. The park stuff, yes, absolutely was. This was more a practicality.....tax dollars.......parking.......access.......traffic.......affordable housingism
MLS selling out Precourt is one path to a happy outcome. The other would be if negotiations are fruitless, then the court would have to step in and enforce the Modell law's provisions, including "opportunity to buy". MLS would like to avoid discovery and really don't want the Modell law upheld through various appeals. But they may be optimistic about overturning it or feel obligated to stick up for Fat Tony.
The leading opponent of the proposal on council is the member whose district it would go in. I don't blame the neighbors for scoffing at the traffic and parking plan (such as it is).
I don't want to. I will have a hard time supporting the Crew even if they are saved. Maybe the reason Columbus locals did not purchase the Crew in 2013 is because they got to look at the books and saw that MLS was a house of cards. Attendance is poor with the exception of Atlanta and Seattle, television ratings are non-existant, and all this despite what appears to be a growing desire for TOP level soccer viewing in this country. The only reliable revenue streams MLS has is SUM, meaning someone else's soccer product is better received than your own, and expansion fees.
