With a 12 game schedule. They can get by with as few as 3 road trips. Detroit could play 2 game away weekends against bot Colorado teams. Do that on 2 different weekends and you have 4 of their 6 away games. One or 2 trips to Chicago finishes their road schedule. Of course that is provided their vans can make the drive.
It would be less expensive for these MASL2 teams to play most of their games against local rec center squads, and then only travel for road games one or two weekends a season. This 2nd league concept would work better if there were clusters of teams in each region. Then road games would be mostly shorter drives.

M2 Division Lineup and Schedule Announcement http://www.m2soccer.com/news/major-arena-soccer-league-2-announces-2017-18-sche
I grew up between Muskegon and Holland and can say that the Muskegon Risers are a really well run organization at the PLA (now UPSL Midwest) level of outdoor. I have been to a couple of their matches and was impressed. The crowds are big and game presentation very good for their size. LC Walker has undergone a nice renovation as well. Was there many times for Lumberjack hockey games. The old PDL West Michigan Edge in Holland were never as well run.
I would have made the Western Division 6 teams and the Eastern Division 4 teams for the sake of minimizing travel, especially given that, regardless of whichever Colorado club was in the East, it would be a long and expensive bus trip.
The Blizzard is only playing Chicago once and I think they aren't playing Muskegon at all. Just looking, only 3 of Colorado's 12 games are against division rivals.
Hi! I am a spanish futsal player who is playing in the futsal league of Malta, for the next season I would like to play indoor soccer in USA. Can someone tell me if MASL2 players have any kind of salary? Thanks!
Probably not much, if at all. And you would likely need a work visa, which I would think would be beyond the capabilities of most M2 teams.
The top MASL will sometimes help players get a visa/work permit. Unfortunately, many MASL players are not getting paid that great either. Some make decent money (by minor league standards) but many do not. Best of luck in your soccer journey, hope you can find a team here in the US.

I've been there. Beautiful arena, and perfect type of venue for indoor soccer. Only problem being that it is far from the city center, way out on the edge of Rio Rancho near the newer high school and city hall (not to mention off-campus sites for UNM and CNM). Everybody is used to driving though, and that area is booming in population. ABQ is very spread out.
