I thought it was a very good match, certainly better than most CL matches including that horrific final.

Not sure if it was really a penalty, South Korea showed very good technical level but just like Peru and Morocco, did not have composure to finish.

    Congrats @HansWorldCup, now beat Germany!

It's been a mixed bag. At this stage it's more exciting than South Africa was, but not as exciting as Brazil.

Hehe thanks my friend! Haha yes, but if we get a draw from Germany maybe Sweden and Mexico can play for a draw and Germany is out. Well it depends what Mexico and South Korea ends.
But i dont know if Sweden and Mexico wants to do that, If Brazil top their group i think both Mexico and Sweden wants to avoid Brazil. Well going to be interesting to follow.

Great result for Sweden. Did solid job that was required rather than trying too hard to look good

Korea didn't have a sense of urgency in a match that they desperately needed points from.

    Yup. agreed 100%.

I am really hoping Mexico/Sweden come out of this group and that the Germans cave in to the pressure they are receiving from the media back home.

So if we get Sweden on 4 points and Mex on 6 going into that last game, they could do a gentleman's tie to both advance with no injuries and no card. I would love to see that happen, let Germany know what Algeria felt like in 1982.

Defense still played horrible. We would concede more if not for superb goalkeeping. And yes offensively we failed miserably.

Personally, I think Korea left it too late. They tried to sit back and counter which made them look shaky from a defensive point of view. Once they went down, they attempted to control the game and started causing more problems for Sweden.

It bugs me that Asian teams like Korea and Japan aren't given the confidence from their coaches to press and attack the opposition, especially when its against European nations. Korea and Japan can match European teams from a technical point of view and should be given the confidence to go out and compete. Too much respect is shown to the opposition.

yeah, the keeper has saved you a few times. Also, that late game header... you should have scored that. At this level any wasted chance weights tremendously, especially the clear chances

Fascinating to see how Granqvist, considered a liability not long ago, has turned into a national hero.

I've been reading and listening to online German media, and I can tell you there's no pressure at all. As incredible as it may be when we know how this works in our countries.
Löw said calmly that he's not worried about an early elimination and there's absolutely no voice contesting it.
At present the biggest issue seems to be Hummels after match short interview, as he showed himself too emotional. This is not well seen in Germany. And they're complaining about Özils lack of will - they're supposing this could be a consequence of the media attacks after his picture together with Erdogan.
But no pressure like "we have to win", or "we could be out". Nothing. Incredible, but this is how it seems to work.
I'm sure they will present themselves quite cool against Sweden, like they've always been.
For Sweden it won't be the same experience they had in Milan - not only regarding the opponents' quality, but also their focus on the match. But in any case the swedes do have the experience of fighting successfully for a 0-0, and they can manage it.
They're perfectly able to switch from "South Korea modus" to "Germany modus". As being a medium force in Europe they grow with this mentality.

We don´t play to entertain,we play to get results.
Like it or loath it,but so far so good.
All pressure on Germany. They are not the team they were four years ago,if they were they wouldn´t have lost to Mexico.

We managed to beat France and Italy in qualifying for this WC.
Of course it is possible for us to get a result against this weaker German side as well.I´m not saying it is going to happen..just that it won´t be a huge surprise if the match ends in a draw for example.

We are in a good spot going into this,Germany are not.
That might be important.I just hope Germany sticks with the likes of Özil and Khedira.
