    I started a topic because msilverstein47 posted in last year's topic. MLS clubs enter in the Fourth Round, which has 32 clubs. The Red Bull start hosting NYCFC on Wednesday June 6 at 7:30 P.M. https://www.newyorkredbulls.com/pos...-host-new-york-city-fc-lamar-hunt-us-open-cup is titled "New York Red Bulls to host New York City FC in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup."

    @kokoplus10

    Can you sticky this topic and unsticky the Champions League topic?

    Edit: I'm watching the draw and I'm wondering why NYCFC did not apply to host. The game isn't near a Yankees home game.

    4 - 0 may become the official scoreline of a RBNY v NYC match.

    It was nice of the Citizens to come over and serenade us during the dull moments of the match. There sure wasn't much fight from their team on the field. If Muyl, Etienne and Royer had better finishing, it could have gotten much worse for them. Kutler was a nice addition to the mix and help cover back on a few occasions. N'Dam, though, is a mixed bag, imposing physically but still very raw.

    I’m pleasantly surprised we won this game. I thought heading into this with all our call ups and even BWP not starting we’d just play some backups and youth to get them some minutes and lose. I had assumed the blue team would use this opportunity to not only eliminate us at our home but give their fans some bragging rights by playing their best.

    Long, Royer, Valot, Davis, Muyl, and Wright-Phillips were on the bench. Wright-Phillips was subbed on in the 60th minute, followed by a Philadelphia goal to go up 2-0 in the 61st minute. Wright-Phillips scored in the 77th minute, but we lost 2-1. Philadelphia had more shots on target, 7 to 6. We had 55.6% of the possession and 55.6% of the complete passes.

    Can't say I'm really surprised, the Open Cup was just a bridge too far this season. The City win, as satisfying as it was, meant yet another game crammed into an already busy schedule.
