This summer Asbury Park F.C. is teaming up with Asbury Park Yacht Club, Umbro, Topps, Andy Diamond and the New York Red Bulls to bring a thoroughly Modern Football experience to the world famous Asbury Park Boardwalk. Think I'll be taking a trip to Asbury Park this month.
Where do you live? If you're coming from New York City (entirely by car or from an airport) and want to eat Italian food on the way south, you can go to Yesterday's on Route 35 in Hazlet. I'm hoping to go south to Yesterday's and then north to Red Bull Arena. I once saw horse racing at Monmouth Park, which is 8 miles north of Asbury Park. Near Monmouth Park is Monmouth University, whose Football team made the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs for the first time in 2017. When I was young, my grandparents took me to Point Pleasant Beach, which is farther south. There's minor league baseball four levels below MLB in Lakewood, which is about 30 minutes southwest of Asbury Park.
