You think almeyda is staying? He posted on insta he wasnt. I think they want to try and force him to wuit. They vhanged preseason, sold pizarro, and didnt get any players on his list. When the players came out supporting him amd threatening to not show up, i think they crapped their pants. I think theyre trying to make him out to be the bad guy by lying to us. I think they flat out are using the Almeyda is staying as a deflection for the Pizarro thing. People were mad about Pizarro leaving and Almeyda leaving. They announced that Almeyda is staying to distract from Pizarro leaving and thinking "it's not as bad, at least Almeyda is staying". Of course you have to buy into it first and I don't know if people did.

And now he says that Almeyda is staying but I don’t buy that shit at all My guess is that the directiva is purposely trying to sabotage the squad so that Almeyda quits. Almeyda deserves his share of the blame in the shit show that is Chivas. His agent Santiago Hersing has been shopping him around for the past six months.. Obviously Mati does not want to work with JLH but at the same time doesn't want to leave his massive wages. While Chivas loaded up on Copa MX and CCC titles we can't ignore his abysmall league record. Not qualifying to two straight liguillas and poor win record at home has hurt Matias stock as most clubs value league play over cup tourneys. A midtable La Liga team wont care to win the Copa del Rey if the club is fighting relegation. I do believe it was Matias or his agent that leaked the Chivas resignation email. Im not sure why Mati is in the fence but Im sure he knows that missing out on a third straight liguilla would wreck his chances at a potential national team call up. Ideally, he should have left after winning the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Instead he did something that is frowned upon in FMF and that is throw the club directivos under the bus. He shares the blame for helping create more chaos by leaking the resignation email. He clearly doesnt want to work with JLH nor he shares the direction the club is going in even though he had two years to prepare. His agent had also been shopping him around for the past year. So, he wanted to leave for a good while -- he just didnt get good offers. In the end this is more an issue about money. If he quits he cant cash out, if they fire him they have to pay him a years wages, however if he resigns under the clubs terms they can settle on a payment plan. The club invested $60M in players and if it wasnt for Dorados shiting the bed there was a good chance the club would have been relegated. Only to Chiva fans that have romantasized Almeyda. His league record is poor and home record worse. $60M squad isnt very little. He had the 3rd or 4th most expensive squad in the league. Very little is what he has now and he doesnt want to work with that.

I have been Chivas de Corazon my entire life and only a fan of theirs (no euro team bandwagon). If Matias leaves us this week, I am leaving too, I won't follow any team. I'll boycott until there is a new owner or the fans get respect. Thanks for the great years. #EstoNoEsChivas
