CRZD clearly thinks we're better this time around....but yeah, I guess I should have put "crzd" instead of "guys"

To me, that Brazil match was purely a tactical and mental blunder. We had the guys to win that match...but Pekerman decided to go creative and put in Guarin over Aguilar. That and Sanchez made the only true blunder he's ever had for Colombia in a 10=year career.

I dont understand how many are asking for Cardona out of this WC roster? Prior to that stupid incident in the Asia friendly back in Nov he was still a formidable piece in Pekerman's roster. He was INSTRUMENTAL in this WCQ campaign. I would chose Izzy over JFQ before letting go of Cardona.

The biggest palos Imho were Mojica and Murillo. I kind of understand why Mojica was called over Izquierdo (can play LB) and also crowds the middle less (Izquierdo cuts to the middle looking for his shot) and provides more service for Falcao.

However I was more surprised by Murillo, assuming that 3 CBs and Carlos Sanchez sufficed. I think that Pekerman is suspicious of Mina’s and Davinson’s form.

Lastly, I’m a little confused about possible tactics but I suspect a 4-3-3 that becomes a 4-5-1 on defense is very possible, just like the second half against France. The roles and players coming from the bench are also up in the air, having Bacca, Quinterito, Duvan and Cardona on offense and Barrios, Lerma and Mojica on defense.

My only beef with Mina in DF is that he's a bit overzealous in the position and you can feel his anxiety to perform. Because of it he can look like he's not in line with the rest of his backline. I see that same impromptu when looking to score. That couple with Mina's limited minutes at Craca has me worried. But why would you think Davinson is not in form considering he's played 90+% of there games including CL?

This guy is so blatantly ignorant in his hubris... Chara for Abel and Muriel as a true 9... WTF? Only if you haven’t watched 2 games from Chara and Muriel can come to these ... err... conclusions ...

Cardona may not be in his best form right now, but he still deserves the call up. He has saved matches as a super sub.

I'm waiting for Quintero to drop his form significantly, as that has been his MO throughout his career.

Davinson’s role diminished at the season end and he was constantly being caught out of position, being a little too aggressive in his marking. I was referring to his performance declining not his physical form per se.

In general I never understood the idiotic part of preliminary squad. Pick the goddamn 23 already! two weeks won't change a thing for any coach and in case of an injury, the coach is eligible to replace anyway. So this is the extraofficial?

I would positive that Pekerman would take Diaz. Not that I thought he should, but I had a feeling. My only doubt is Abel who looks horrible in Cali but I guess Pekerman takes him for his experience and good performances with the NT. I', fine with that list. Also with Arboleda's getting the WC experience with the team.

I say 20 of the guys are already have their tickets booked

A few guys are injured, a few guys have no shot, some are really old and the Bogota game is a thanks but bye (Teo and Diaz)

If Pekerman is seriously only taking his 23 to Italy. Most the other guys are just bodies for the Bogota friendly.

The 23 men list was leaked/guessed, it is not a sure/official thing, yet. While 35 might be a little too many (probably 28-30 would do), FIFA wants to have that list so if there are emergency replacements they're ready for them. IOW, you would like to have a backup for 4-5 positions in addition to the 23 man squad, just in case.

Nah, but they had to send it. Otherwise if a player gets injured they won't have a so called reserve player to call instead.

Like hell they will. I failed for my 3rd class test for the 5th time and I was ragging and snapping to where I had a break down. It was not pretty. I seriously just want the world cup to get here already.
