I don’t know I think the kid from Huila is better then Arbolera and is much taller.

Alvaro Montero having a good end of season as well as it seems a good 1/3 of Colombian teams used young keepers.

I just hope the day after Falcao lifts the World Cup

We tell Jose Cuadrado and Vargas to fk off and retire. The fact they are 2 and 3 is sad reminder of how far the colombia GK has fallen.

Don’t be overdramatic. We have had some great goalkeepers but Agustin Julio, Robinson Zapata and Neco Martinez have seen significant time as our starting goalkeepers too.

    Just think about it

Vargas is 29 and has had an Ok career not one that should get you an a NT

Castellanos is 33 and still can’t bench the 40 year old Zapata

Cuadrado became a clear starter once Heneo retired. Like not till he was close to 30. I rate him higher then Vargas but still sad he is #3

David Gonzalez was great he went to Turkey went MIA for 5 years then was a sub in colombia for at least a year now a starter for DIM

Agustin Julio was the last in that line of great Colombian keepers. Ospina is an exception of the rule of his generation of GKs

Libis Arenas seemed like a way better keeper but he was a shit head. A few decent guys in between but never given a shot. Teams preferred 35 year olds from Argentina and Uruguay

Holy shit I never realized how little Ospina has played since 2014, the guy is at the pinnacle of his career and is willing to be a nailed on back up. Its amazing how we went from a wealth of options at goal keeper 15 years ago to Ospina and nothing else and the guy is happy being a backup. Please someone challenge this guy next cycle, Ospina is an elite shot stopper but his weaknesses on crosses and dropping balls haven't improved and likely won't because the guy is content with mediocrity.

I like Montero too. I only saw the Huila kid once so I can't judge much on that against Millos.

I think Arboleda and Montero could be our best prospects to unseat Ospina unless someone from out of the blue shows up.

El del huila lo tengo que ver en partidos para terminar de juzgarlo...

tapar penales es una gran habilidad..pero no siempre el que lo hace es un gran arquero o la mejor opcion

ya con el humo que vendiero del nefasto bejarano ando mas precavido

There’s at least a half a dozen people here who have been pointing out Ospina’s lack of match fitness at the club level for the past three years.

It’s a shame and it has gotten to the point where his NT form has dipped as well.

Rumor has it the new Arsenal manager is going after the Sevilla GK. Right or wrong, heads will roll at Arsenal and Ospina needs to go somewhere where he will play every week. Even if it is for a mid table team.

I just never realized its been 4 years where he essentially was never the first choice. Arguments can be made if he deserved to be first choice or not and that is completely fair, but the message was clear to him that he was a backup and he decided to accept it and stay. Ospina deserves all the criticism for the choice to accept that and not look for a transfer. It doesn't matter where, playing anywhere will allow him to keep his level, it's a shame we've been so weak at goalie it allowed him to stagnate and remain the starter, hopefully that changes in the next cycle.

Makes sense, he always liked Rico and every manager brings a few of his favorite players to help mold the team.

I don’t care if Ospina goes to Mexico, Argentina or Turkey as long as he finds consistent playing time.

Anywhere but MLS, Arabia or China would be good :)

    Can’t Levante use him?

Yeah I don't care where he goes but he needs to play. We are already going into a World Cup with a goalie who has barely played in 4 seasons, the next coach should lay down the law right away if you aren't playing you risk your spot.

Is that every league or just England?

Pretty sure same with the German league but it was never mentioned when he was in France and Claudio Bravo was at Barca and he is Ospinas height

Keylor Navas is 1 inch taller

Can Ospinas issue be he has small arm span? I know my friends who play basketball make a big deal about that. They also mentioned it about Arbolera who is 1 inch shorter then Ospina

Yo leí que era Cuéllar... Que por eso no está jugando en Brasil. Cardona es una buena opción de todas formas.

Either way that would be awesome

I heard Oscar Murillo and Abel are the two question marks.

but he called 24 so far. Think If Oscar cant go then Tesillo will but just cant fathom how Tesillo > Jesion Murillo.

I love Cuellar but we already have Sanchez, Barrios and Lerma there.
