I am not so sure about that, but you may be right, I don't know. I just know that we outplayed them seriously in the last game, without Ghoulam, who had been one of our most important players before he got injured. But who knows? We will see, that's all we can say.
This actually doesn't look too bad. I just think that Rui is not an option, I think remember him saying in an interview that he will not stay as backup for Ghoulam, and that's the only thing I can imagine him doing. He has quality, but if Ghoulam recovers his form and talent, Rui can go suck a bunch of BBCs with huge, sharp, poisonous thorns.
But this is where it gets a bit condescending - you can argue that Mazzarri made these players play better. Lavezzi looked ordinary at PSG, but when used tactically plays like a beast. Mazzarri got more out of the squad than what it originally seemed like what the squad was capable of. Even benitez too, in europe atleast. We beat plenty of big teams during their eras, teams with better quality than us. I'd go as far as to say Mazzarri was responsible for Hamsik's and Cavani's best seasons. My point is managers are here to bring the best out of players. Sarri did that to a greater degree than our previous two perhaps, but that doesn't mean Ancelotti cannot do that. Its puzzling to see people predicting us to be struggling for a CL place this time next year, especially given Ancelotti's experience alone is worth vying for. Ancelotti has great hindsight, I think he can use that and his tactical nous to continue Sarri's great brand of football (not to the extremes obviously) but work on the things we kept messing up on.
Chiesa (50) or Suso (45) or Felipe Anderson (35)? Who do you prefer? I hope we get one of them and sell Callejon for 20M and keep Mertens. In midfiled we sell Jorginho and Hamsik for 80 to 90 million (I am not a fan but it looks like it). Imagine we play 4-2-3-1 with Insigne, Mertens and one of those three on the right. Zielinski and Rog can come off the bench. In attack we need a strong guy. Balotelli / Benzema / Diego Costa. In midfield we can buy two of Vidal / Seri / Dembele or buy one of them and bring back Grassi and play one of Diawara / Allan. ———————-————-NEW (Milik)————————————- Insigne (Zielinski) - Mertens (Zielinski) - FELIPE ANDERSON (Rog) ——————SERI (Diawara)———DEMBELE (Allan)————— Ghou (M Rui)—Koulibaly (Tone)—DAVID LUIZ (Mak)—Meunier (NEW) ———————————-NEW (NEW)————————————— Keep Chiriches and Ounas. Out: Callejon 20M Hamsik 30M Jorginho 60M Albiol 6M Hysaj 50M Reina free Rafael free Sepe free Maggio free TOTAL 166 Loan: Grassi Gaetano Machach Leandrinho Assume we spend 200M Buy: Felipe Anderson 35M Dembele 20M Seri 35M David Luiz 25M Meunir 12M Would leave us 70 million to buy a second right back, a striker (Balotelli is free) and a keeper. Would love Alison but won’t happen.
There is no way Ancelotti is not keeping the 433, he might even play 4321 (Christmas tree formation), but u can argue Sarri did the same
based on ancelotti in real madrid, chelsea and milan. I'm pretty sure he also played like that at bayern 3 man midfields are important to him
Not sure how Dembélé would look in Napoli , (especially under a different manager/philosophy) but the dude has always been one of my favourites. Criminally underrated and unbelievable at maintaining possession/ driving play. His ability to create positive situations from difficult scenarios is brilliant. Bad passes , bad touches, dribbling away from danger/multiple defenders .... I mean, his ability to escape and make the proper decision afterwards is second to none. He makes teammates look better than they are , and teams more effective than they should be. Just a terrific, instinctive problem solver.
Confirms what I said. Napoli want Rui Patricio, Vrsajiko and Verdi / Politano. Except Rui Patricio the rest should have happened in January. Any other transfers will only happen is koulibaly, Jorginho, Hamsik or Mertens are sold. I wonder why people are excited about Ancelotti. With those three asditiona he will not outperform Sarri. https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/nap...nich-and-benzema-of-real-madrid-the-situation
If we are playing 4-3-3, why all these talk about selling Jorghino? Did he asked to leave? He's actually hard to replace without spending a fortune so it make no sense.
Paredes would be the replacement and the rest of the money would be spent elsewhere. I just can’t see what we will do to drastically improve the team. But Jorginho under Ancelotti will not be the same as under Sarri.
Rui Patricio will be Napoli’s new goalkeeper as Sporting Lisbon’s sporting director confirms: “We are defining the last few details of the transfer, Patricio will go to Napoli”. so we have signed rui patricio and balo up until now?
