One of the reasons why I'm not particularly in love with Prescott is he's pretty gun-shy on the kinds of tight-window throws that Dez feeds on. I don't know that Alex is much better for that though. It sounds like Baltimore's in for him. I could see that working out all right.
I think the offensive scheme will be the big difference. With Dak, a lot is predicated on the run game and the passing game is far more basic in Garrett’s offense. Jay Gruden’s best attribute as a coach is he knows how to scheme guys open. The route concepts and combinations are more complex than Garrett’s.

Man I love this shit! I don’t care what you think about him as a QB, you got to love that fire! pic.twitter.com/3Iksevyytj— Jamal Adams (@Prez) April 25, 2018
I can see where the accusations of "smarter than thou" abrasiveness comes from. He's not saying anything particularly ccontroversial, but he says it with a lot of contempt for the question. You can hear the contempt just ooze out of the words "exotic, cool, flashy QBs".
I dunno, it just sounds confident to me, Confidence born of experience is often seen as arrogance. The real test will be what happens if he goes through a period of failure; but then some of them don't-- Marino for example.
Well, if you're like early Leaf or Manziel and you let confidence dissuade you from doing the homework, that would be scary; or if you start being George Patton and start leaping to incorrect assumptions... But it is a job that requires a couple of scoops of belief in self.
@Emperor Adriano, I think you were being really harsh on the Lions choice of Ragnow. Kid looks good to me watching a few games man. It's not sexy, but the Lions badly needed an interior OL starter. Joe Dahl isn't going to get it done for this club. Was it the choice I'd have made? No, I would've gone with Guice, but I actually warmed up to the pick quickly after watching him some. And I'm not too sure the Lions need corner help as badly as you insist. Tabor came on strong towards the end of the year when he got opportunity. He even went toe-to-toe with Mike Evans one-on-one and stalemated him. That impressed me. The Lions clearly believe in the kid, don't just write him off because he had a bad 40.
Browns took Baker Mayfield because of Scot McCloughan. 6+ months ago, McCloughan had tweeted about how he loved Baker Mayfield and how he reminded him of Brett Favre. Looks like Scot has some weight in that Browns draft room. Dorsey is the GM but McCloughan has significant say.
Cool. I really started to see it with Baker towards the end of the process. In other news, INJECT THIS GIF INTO MY VEINS! Ragnow absolutely DESTROYING Da'Ron Payne.
If it's one thing Arkansas and Bielema were known for.. it was their development of Big uglies along the offensive trench.
Looks like Guice is taking a hit for the gay questioning thing and now people are questioning his running style calling it "not very fluid" and how he holds to the football too high and tight. Hopefully it's enough of a concern for him to fall to us.
It's crazy whats going on with him. You mean to tell me he isn't better than Rashaad Penny and Sony Michel? MannnNnNnNn at this point this is beyond his control. Wherever he goes is going to be blessed with a very angry runner. He's going to be an elite 2 in a 1-2 punch.
Apparently the Skins didn't take Derwin James due to knee issues. I heard 5-6 teams failed his knee. I love how things pop up during the draft and never any time before it. Yeah, his knee was mentioned, but it was never mentioned to the extent that he would drop as far as he did and that teams are scared to touch him.
LOL @ these Lawson reaction to the draft. I'm on the Ward pick and he's like "Ugh, I don't know man." It comes off hilariously...
I'm still trying to grasp the whole trade a future 1st round to move up and take Davenport thing. But then I'm reminded that our 1st round pick next season will be at #32
Have heard a lot of buzz about the Chargers and Mason Rudolph. Could be a trade target early tonite— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) April 27, 2018 I love that fit. I think Rudolph comps to Rivers. Not saying he will be as good as Rivers, but they share many similar characteristics.
