    Garcetti is going straight for the Presidency. He already declined to run for Gov this year, he's not challenging Feinstein, and Harris isn't going anywhere unless she wins President/VP. There isn't a ton of room for upward mobility in California politics.

    But Ronnie isn't the proper comparison. It was Nancy, and President Obama did not attend. Although to be sure he was working, not golfing.

    Obama is a lightning rod for the opposition, and he knows this. I think his choice not to attend probably has that in consideration as a distraction from the funeral, itself.

    Complete loser, or as I like to call her, Dyin' Babs. Couldn't cut it. She choked. Because that's what people with COPD do. Didn't have the stamina, like her son Low Energy Jeb.

    Trump is a bad husband, but what is a surprise about any of his behavior? Certainly Melania should have known - if not in detail then in concept - everything she was getting into.

    Except being forced to be part of a Presidency.

    I don't think the are "warring".

    I think they see POTUS as weak, and if he suffers more set backs, backstabbers will move against him

    there is a definite media drumbeat around Haley and Pence right now

    I am cross posting this because I suspect this is a scandal that will hit the US eventually

    In simple terms, private businesses supporting Leave.eu handed their customer data over to CA

    So it seems there might be an entire black market where private companies allow their data to be used for political purposes?

    It already seems likely that Breitbart and other wingnut sites exist mainly as data machines for GOP - but controlled by Mercer

    He's probably going to outlive Bush I and Carter. IMO he's got a shot at outliving Clinton. If not, Clinton, Obama and Bush will go.

    Dude, he's not going to die in some bunker/fortress and have his remains burned/dropped in the ocean so nobody can find them and make a shrine. Once the legislative and international mess he's created gets sorted out, the only thing remaining will be the increases in ugly mistreatment of POCs. Time seems to heal all other wounds.

    If he lives another ten years, nobody will treat him with the disrespect he deserves.

    Joe Scarborough also came to the defense of Haley in today's WaPo -- not that she needs it. She's one of only a couple Trump appointees who seem to be able to defend themselves against the Moron-in-Chief.

    "Haley’s response to the charge was as sharp as it was telling.

    With those nine words, the ambassador declared that, unlike most other members of Trump’s Cabinet, she would not allow herself to be humiliated by a political day trader, whose fitful 15 minutes of fame will come to a close long before a new president takes the oath of office in 2021.

    Still, another scenario came to mind this week: How wonderful would it be for our daughters to see this woman — this daughter of immigrants — take a debate stage to coldly cut the Donald down to size, revealing to the world once and for all that this bloated emperor has no clothes?"
