even with an expensive and more broadly positioned squad AND no international soccer the club actually generates money
at the annual general meeting Schippers announced that there is absolutely no interest to attract investors or patrons (why no patrons? if their good deeds are totally unconditional I would welcome them ;-)
I'm not familiar with Darmstadt but they had to (partly) finance their stadium upgrade... usually you do this to ensure your future... very often this shot backfires tremendously... like our neighbours Alemannia Aachen: a short gig in Bundesliga should become a long one...they built a new stadium... and went bankrupt... now playing on 4th tier.... or Fortuna Sittard on the other side of the border... they played 1st tier with a fine squad but the stadium was in disrepair (some of the better row of seats consisted of fixed garden chairs... what should I say, it was great! intense atmosphere!)... they built a new one... and got into heavy heavy financial troubles for many years... they dropped into 2nd tier and even had to fight for their professional-soccer-licence again and again... but fortunately after many many years they have a chance to move up to 1st tier again... two matches to go ;-)
1860? well, one should write a book about them...

yes an improvement... I liked the first (or one of the first) homepage-versions best... after that they kind of lost it
anyway I hope they focus more on squad-design than on corporate design ;-)

How dare you missed out on one of major improvement ...& about the quality of the lawn ????:ROFLMAO::sick::whistling::whistling::cool::cool::cool::cool:o_O
I liked your breakdown about the missing identity and our "Vanilla" if u can even call it that..style of play under hecking and how blind we could be from the very top and management down to the players and their lack of desire to achive
more and the separation that has been growing inside the squad...u hit them nails right on the head pretty much in every aspect...if we go into the new season like this...i dont wanna even think what might happen to us!

    so, no WC for Stindl!
ironically our best and maybe most dedicated player is getting punished from the soccer gods
    what an epedemic season!
I'm very sorry for him... most likely he's gonna miss pre-season, too

Max' new transfer-strategy has been leaked!
Barcelona is gonna be stripped bare by Borussia
to not wake up sleeping dogs Max starts with the hairy Cucurella (19, LB) of their B-team (nursed with a bottle at the famous 'La Masia')

    Max Eberl is speaking:
regarding Doucouré: "It's not the question WHEN he's gonna play again, it's the question IF he's gonna play again. I'm feeling sorry because he is a great guy."
    regarding transfers:
    - most likely six to seven 'changes' in the squad
    - quantity is going down; meaning less squad positions
    - broadly speaking players have to be sold first to sign new ones: this sounds challenging: only Ginter, Zak (he already told he wants to stay) & Hazard would bring in substantial money, maybe Elvedi (he already extended his contract) and Veste if they shine at the WC
    - we did well with the "swimming" forwards, he says (at the end they often looked like drowning, I say), but finally it seems they are ready to look for another type of forward [he didn't say "cold-blooded finisher"... that's the type I prefer, I hope we are thinking of the same kind of attacker ;-)))]
    - transfer business most likely is gonna be slow and will only gain speed after the WC and the closing of the English transfer market (which is much earlier this year: 9th of Aug.)... it seems he's speculating on grabbing some last minute steals
    good luck, Max!

p.s.: I still pray to the soccer gods that the Favre-to-BVB-cup is gonna pass from us but slowly but surely I'm losing hope...

Gladbach in Liverpool's Brewster well in the race

At Borussia Mönchengladbach you are not necessarily satisfied with the season 2017/18. Sports director Max Eberl describes the playing time as "okay" and is already looking around for new people for the future. Especially in the storm you see a need for action - that could change a man from Liverpool: kicker information coincide with reports from England, according to which the Borussia is well in the race for young forward Rhian Brewster (18).

    First given name: Rhian
    Surname: Brewster

We had one on the Blue Jackets many years ago--but for a good reason. His name was Steve Heinze.

What we saw this season was that we are average. Very average, right at .500. We did beat Bayern, though.

    potentially I mean ;-))))))

they haven't asked for my blessing but I'm willing to give it... but this certainly is no easy deal... I heard L'pool is aiming to sue Borussia because they think Max is not allowed to talk to him
    I don't care about the number ;-)

final placing very average... but neither unimaginable when season started nor really devastating... on the one hand and on paper
on the other hand this all is throwing loooooooong shadows onto next season
    1) the ongoing murmur about lack of dedication/absolute will to win is now backed up in public by Hecking, Eberl and Sommer who speaks of a 'mental problem' (our last match was uninspired and lethargic... AGAIN ...and Eberl contributed the excuses... AGAIN... no, this wasn't an emaciating season of 50plus matches ... the team would have been well-advised to go full throttle especially after a season where more or less everybody is of the same view as Kramer: "It would have been more in it." ... our last match looked kind of unprofessional again... what S04 did against Frankfurt or Leicester did at Tottenham, that was professional!...)
    2) no concept how to play offensively: no speed, no depth, no rehearsed moves, no finishing quality... all this already obvious at RWE (first competitive match of the season)... and more or less no progress at all
the likelihood that the manager-discussion is on again pretty fast when season starts is pretty high... I hope Max is finding gold on the transfer market... and I hope Dieter is gonna make it work ... but a lot of people are having their doubts right now

yes, the English, they don't know the healthy level (but then who does?)
the money clubs simply have those blown up squads... Chelsea once (still?) had roundabout 40 players on loan... those and the ones without a professional/adult-contract so far have become our new hunting ground... only if they have the potential, of course, potentially I mean ;-)... at the end it's more exciting to get a rising yougster than to spend 15M+ on de Jong who didn't score at all...
what about Drmic, Hans-Gunter? it seems you were right? too early to say, but still... maybe the team's meeting with the Pope wasn't completely useless... maybe we'll watch WC and witness the total ressurection of Josip (do we need a new striker at all? ;-))))

Yea was wondering when u or anyone else would pick up on it and my gut feeling about Drmic...always felt he was inches away from getting fully mobilized.Ithink he can be a good weapon in our arsenal..specially if he gets adequate playingtime and a good wingman...have u noticed his fluid mobility speed and scraping???Am sure he has lots to offer...what scares me is Max and Hecking trying to cut corners again and not providing proper reinforcements :cautious::cautious::sneaky::sneaky::eek::eek::alien::cry::alien:

Deadpool going to the mat to keep the Brewster kid. Accusing BMG of tampering.* None of them want German clubs raiding their academy talents, but those who have made the jump rave about it and tell the others Buli is a great place to jump-start their 1st team careers.

Former Gladbach wingback Nico Schulz was called up by Joachim Löw. What a shame we couldn't show him any perspective with our team. I was pretty thrilled back when we signed him from Hertha BSC. He then suffered from several injuries but come on, we should never let him go to Hoffenheim.
