Finally going to cut the cord (hopefully) once and for all. Bought a Roku Ultra and an outdoor antenna. I just don't watch enough TV anymore to justify paying what I pay. Between mooching off of various family logins and getting all the apps on the Roku, I shouldn't notice a difference. This should save me $130ish/month. I'm trying to squeeze every dollar now that I've fulfilled a childhood goal of buying a BMW
Rafa is a great guy that any imperilled club can rely on to get the best out of any humdrum group and shut down the bad losses..... I knew (barring some horror list of injuries that Newcastle would be okay) Leeds should hire him next. I still maintain that he was a little dozy in some of his bigger decisions when things were going good with us. Allowing Keane to leave mid-season with no proper back-up striker to Torres/Gerrard available (other than Dirk, whom he had ambled into midfield for some berserk reason) was a costly error. Allowing Alonso to leave at the end of that great season was also a bad one, but who knows what was going on behind the scenes and maybe the lure of back to Spain for a Spainard is too much for a manager to beat.... (Don't get me started on Bellamy and Kewell watching from the bench at the start of a CL final.... Still love old Rafa though!, flaws and all ....
Not sure which record you're referring to but if you mean the time as manager, won't happen. Klopp himself said that it ain't happening in this day and age. Well damn. There goes my plans to tell y'all about how it is every hour, every day.
Doesn't mean I can't want it as a subset of this feeling good and future providence. As in - I want to bang Eva Longoria- th efact that it ain't gonna happen doesn't mean I shouldn't want it to...
Read this twitter thread. Seems a 31 year old Scouser with severe disabilities that keep him wheelchair bound attends LFC games home and away. The lad booked his flight to Rome but was denied by the charter because his chair was too big for their hold. It was reported in Liverpool. At that point our mate Scholesy stepped in. The tread tell the tale. But Scholesy booked him a flight and paid for it so the lad wouldn’t miss out on the game. He is my hero! Hey @British_Airways I'm a #gold member and you're one of my favorite airlines. You've got quipment from #lhr that will accommodate this lads wheelchair right? I'll buy his ticket if you can accommodate. What do you say? https://t.co/ytYAboLsfJ— Wayne Scholes (@WayneScholes) April 21, 2018
A coordinated effort from the North American LFC supporters clubs protesting to NBC re Neil Ashton and the Sun . http://lfcny.org/sunset-nbc/
I know Sam doesn't care but so far it's going way better than expected. I have access to watch everything I want. I'm saving $100+/month too. I only wish I would've done this a year ago.
Can you lay out what you have gone with? My friend is doing a combo of DirecTV Now, Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV or something to that effect and I think he's saving a good amount too.
Yes sir... Got the Roku Ultra (this model has an ethernet port for faster streaming). I'm just doing Spectrum's base internet package (50-80 MBpS on my last tests). -DirecTV Now (base package, includes most channels I want plus HBO due to some special). My Mom was the one who was using it and when I found out that you can stream two at a time, I decided to give it a try. Been happy with the results, so now we're splitting the $39/month bill -Have the NBC Sports app (and Gold) but haven't had to use either really because I've just watched our games on DirecTV Now. -Netflix: sharing a family account. -Hulu: using my girlfriend's account. -Amazon Prime: Haven't really watched it but have a family account on that one too. -HBO Go: Works with the DirecTV Now login. -FX Now: Works with the DirecTV Now login. -ESPN+: Decided to give the 7-day free trial a try starting last night. Been happy with the results so far. They were showing some USL soccer last night. They have all the out of market MLS games. Even saw Cardiff get promoted this morning after watching the ESPN FC morons (just kidding, Steve) dissect our CL semifinal 2nd leg. -The one channel I haven't tried to gain access to yet is BeIN. My Dad still has Spectrum cable and has the channel so I'm either going to steal his login and watch it via the Spectrum app or the BeIN Connect app. -Haven't messed with Fox Sports Go app yet either because I've had trouble with it on my phone in the past and I've been able to watch Fox Sports 1/2/Southwest on DirecTV Now. Added bonus: I can access all of the above on my Samsung tablet, for those games that happen to be while I'm in the office
You can get BeIN free through the GO90 app if you have Verizon internet. https://www.go90.com/?tab=channels-shows
I dropped my FIOS TV package about a year ago and went with DirectTV when I was adding a phone line and getting unlimited data through ATT. I'm paying about the same overall, but added another phone. The trick is to scale back on whatever TV package you get, just get the base package and then with Roku or Apple TV you can get a month long subscription to the premium services for the shows you want to what while they are on. My wife is into Outlander, so we get Starz for a couple months while that is on, cancel it and then get Showtime when Shameless is on, etc. HBO is included in my DirectTV, but honestly besides Game of Thrones and now Barry, there haven't been shows on there worth paying for, and I wouldn't pay extra for it if I had to, not year round at least. Netflix is the only extra I pay for year round. We have Prime for the free shipping and the only thing we usually watch on there is Bob Ross. Anyone into Killing Eve on BBC America or Babylon Berlin on Netflix?
Good luck with that. The swine-dollar rules in America................ Incidentally, 96 people lost their lives in the Hillsborough Disaster and Liverpool Supporters (rightly) see the egregiousness of a TV Station running ads about a newspaper that fanned and stoked flames of tension and divisiveness through that newspaper's very own generated mendacity in the aftermath of those needless deaths. However, I've viewed from a similar vein of disgust, but haven't heard a peep from any interest group of baffled humanity regarding the preponderance of fvcking public relations and recruiting ads for the US Army and US Navy on the same sports channel advertizing space - organizations which have been responsible for far more than the death and desecration of 96 lives in the past 30 years, albeit at the direction of lying politicians. So, frankly, I'd be disinclined to view NBC's business dealings with The Sun as anywhere near the depth of their insulting of foreigners.
Royal Wedding --- But my wife managed to wake up at 6am to watch. And I get complaints when I wake up at 7 on weekends for the 7:30am games.
My My wife started at 1am. PST on the bedroom telly. I went into the spare room and actually got some sleep. I did try to look interested when she brought my coffee this morning. Lovely hats....
