If anyone out there is recording Barca, Juve, and PSG and wants to watch them without knowing the score, it's the best to watch Barcelona last. It's like flip around on beIN between the games.
Serie A has makeup games this week. On Tuesday at 12:30 P.M., beIN will show Udinese vs. Fiorentina. I could have seen them showing Atalanta vs. Sampdoria instead. On Wednesday at 12:30 P.M., beIN will show AC Milan vs. Inter Milan. Coverage starts at 12:25 P.M. both days. Atalanta vs. Sampdoria and AC Milan vs. Inter Milan will be on RAI. All the games beIN is not showing will be on beIN Connect. On Saturday at 9:00 A.M., beIN will show a candidate for blowout of the year when last place Benevento, who has 10 points from 29 games, hosts Juventus. If you want a competitive game then, Celta Vigo hosts Sevilla at 10:15 A.M
I just noticed yesterday that in addition to the three channels that have constant programing on beIN Sports Connect (English , Spanish and Real Madrid tv)..... ....there is also La Liga Tv on beIn Channel 3, Was this new discovery by me a recent change or has it been this way for months and I justs haven't noticed it? Anyone?
It's ironic that they do the flip around during Barca's match. They think we care about the PSG match when even they don't care, given that they put Barca on both TV channels. I mean, I get it - its advertising another product of theirs but still ....
It launched Monday, March 12th. I remember Tweeting it out but I don't believe anyone brought it up here at BigSoccer. Just a little disappointed it doesn't seem to include Live Liga 1|2|3 matches... SA www.soccertvblog.com
Next Sunday, beIN has the rights to three big games at the same time. Malaga vs. Real Madrid will be on both channels at 2:45 P.M. Paris Saint-Germain vs. AS Monaco will be at 3:00 P.M. and on delayed at 5:30 P.M. Lazio vs. AS Roma will be at 2:45 P.M. and on delayed on Monday April 16 at 1:45 A.M., with its only daytime replay at 2:00 P.M. that day.
I see only two big games there and both of them are on delay. Is that final? I heard them make a comment during St. Etienne-PSG game that PSG-Monaco will be live on beIN Sports.
That is funny. I only see one game that they care about that will probably get more viewers than the other two combined.
Every Barcelona and Real Madrid game is big for them. The gap between second and fourth will probably be the smallest it has been since 2005-2006. beIN's website only goes through Saturday, but two other sites have them showing Real Madrid live in English.
Juve/Napoli getting bumped to streaming only in favor of Motorcycle racing. Awful, awful company. Hope they leave forever.
Unfortunately, they don’t have enough channels to air all their stuff. Remember, they are a sports network, not a football network. The US MotoGP race upcoming is the biggest motorcycle race in the US. It’s a much bigger deal than the Serie A match. MotoGP is in my opinion the most exciting motorsport series. Football fans won’t like the move, but sports fans like me agree with the move. My philosophy is that the bigger event should get priority. Sometimes it will be football, but other times it will be MotoGP or WTA Tennis. Nothing awful about this decision in my opinion.
This is my issue with them. They overbought rights! Think Serie A rights head to market this summer so that should be good at least. One of the most interesting Italian games since they've owned the rights and it is relegated to streaming.
I'm actually glad to see this. I was concerned I was going to have to suffer through the commentary of the usual clowns. At least I know that professional announcers will be handling this important game.
Fine with Moto stuff, but why put Atletico Madrid - Betis ahead of Juve-Napoli. It seems like they can't wait to divest themselves from Serie A, which is fine with me.
Playing a bit of "devils advocate" but a streaming service like FuboTV has all 11 beINSports channels. It doesn't matter if the match is on 1, ñ, 4, 8 or 10. You can watch live or DVR any channel. Yes, I know streaming isn't quite "there" yet and it's not easy to cut the cord (not for us soccer fans but for any of us that has a wife/girlfriend/family). But for anybody who has a kid that is say, 8 or over can attest, traditional TV is going the way of the cookoo bird. Kids don't watch TV. Hell, even the TVs being sold today are "Smart TVs" with Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc pre-loaded. All you do is pre-load FuboTV. I recently bought a Smart TV and couldn't get over the fact that all I did was plug it in the wall socket and input my home wireless password. Bang. I'm watching TV. No other connections needed. No cables. No receivers. And yes, I'm over 50 so I'm easily amused by technology. I could go a step further (and maybe piss some people off) and say if you are missing the Juve vs Napoli match on Sunday because it's not on "TV", you are stuck in the last century. It's beIN that are already embracing the future. But I'm not going to say that and piss people off.... SA www.soccertvblog.com
I'm fairly tech savvy and beIN's whole app situation is just a mess. Their app sucks and I have to reinstall it, access it via a desktop to remove some logins, etc. After last month, I'm just not trying anymore. And fubo is a nonstarter without espn/abc/tnt properties.
I respect that. One other suggestion: if you have a Roku or Shield or other device on your TV. You can download the beINSports-CONNECT app to your device and watch the channels by authenticating your provider. Dish, DirecTV, U-Verse and some others will allow you to sign in. In the past, before I got FuboTV, I found the app for my Roku was more stable than the website. Hope that helps, SA www.soccertvblog.com
Every beIN app I try to login with tells me I'm at my maximum amount of logins, but when I go to the website to login and check my account, it says I only have ONE. beIN's entire online presence is messed up. I've never had more difficulty trying to stream something from another provider than with them, and their customer service sucks.
I don't mind them going to streaming but the truth is the app is super buggy. And if you are going to throw a huge game on there to be streamed, that's a major issue IMO.
I would show Juventus-Napoli in Spanish over most of La Liga, but not Atletico. Furthermore, the tiebreaker is head-to-head, and if Atletico loses, Barcelona would clinch the title. Barcelona doesn't play in La Liga because they're in the Copa del Rey Final tomorrow. On Saturday April 28 at 2:45 P.M., Juventus goes to Inter, and it will be on live in English. April 28 and 29 will each have two Serie A games live in English.
Well, if the rumor is true about ESPN wanting to get the Serie A for ESPN+ then I would venture to say almost none of the games will be on television and you will have to pay $5 dollars a month. Which is worse?
The rumors I've read said that ESPN is looking at Serie A to air some on tv and the rest on ESPN+, but they're hesitant because IMG is tacking on the English FA Cup rights and jacking up the cost and they don't want the FA Cup rights. I for one would welcome ESPN, they'll show a couple games a week on one of their many channels and the rest on ESPN+. I'd rather pay $5 a month for ESPN+ than the $15 a month I have to pay to get the sports package with beIN Sports in it. Considering that it's the only channel in the package I want, it would save me a lot of money.
I think for fans like you who only want beIN for Italian soccer then it could be a better option. You are clearly in the minority though since beIN has other soccer properties most people want to see.
