I agree, completely. Even so, some of these issues, stadia, public funding, the Crew relocation, all have political elements. So, I try to dial back my natural inclination (Politics major) and stay on point. Oh and f@#$ SpiceBoy!! - Mark
A stadium-related shot in the battle between the two El Tráfico teams : "KIIS-FM 102.7’s Wango Tango announces date, move to a new venue" (Los Angeles Daily News - Thursday, 4/5/18) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I'm so old that I immediately got that reference without even having had to look it up. ... ... GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
"we can't install a ladder to have the roof panels cleaned, and parking a cherry-picker in the middle of the field, would be too hard.....waaaaah"
NYCFC may finally be getting a stadium... or it could be the sixth false start https://newyorkyimby.com/2018/04/ex...-million-harlem-river-yards-mega-project.html
I think they said they would be spending $75 million more to be able to do it. And looking at a map of the site it appears the RR tracks would be under one end of the stadium. And it looks like the stadium is less than two miles downriver from Yankee Stadium, on the same side of the river, in the Bronx, across from Harlem/East Harlem.
Here’s what’s not to like about the NYCFC stadium plan if you are a NY taxpayer 986315761626042371 is not a valid tweet id
Somebody needs to do something to block the wind tunnel. Seriously. Or else install heat lamps. I'm not the only person who gets ridiculously cold at the games -- 60 degree everywhere else, but 30 degrees in Avaya with wind chill. So on another topic. After our first goal last Saturday, I remembered the confetti that used to rain down after goals, with people shredding their programs and throwing everything on to the field. The boys thought it was because the field was farther away than it had been at Spartan and Buck Shaw, but nothing gets thrown on the field any more -- at least not at our home games.
