The Emir doesn't care I bet. They signed Neymar, now they own him. What comes afterwards, I don't think Qatar is scared at all. I'm not even sure Qatar will let Neymar go if he goes on strike. I don't want to repeat myself, but what did Neymar hope when he signed there? That Qatar will listen to his desires?, and that Qatar pamper their workers? ... ffs Neymar tantrums have some effects on PSG people working in france, sure, but on Qatar royalties? Yeah right I'm sure the Emir is scared of Neymar Senior wooooo...
Right now, I'd sign MBappe before signing Neymar. The kid is perfect. He doesn't party. He doens't smoke or drink. He goes to sleep early. He has no bad friends. He never says bad things. He tops records for his age. And his representatives are his father, and mother who are from what we know the total opposite of Neymar's father. That's just the merchandisings side that hurt. He won't make us as much money as Neymar. At least not right now.
As a Balkanite, I love it. He reminds me of many people I know there. Macho to the max on the outside, but probably very insecure inside. No one in their right mind believes Zlatan is being genuine. Of course it's a shtick. That's why he's invited to a show like that...to do his shtick, rather to provide anything meaningful. The guy is as dumb as a brick.
Both of his parents are actually from there. His father grew up a few miles from my hometown, then both of his parents moved to Sweden. Zlatan is a walking stereotype of a Bosnian idiot, but happens to be from Sweden. One of the biggest mistakes the Bosnian FA did was to allow him to play for Sweden. He was actually interested in playing for Bosnia, but it never materialized.
Real Betis on the 5th spot. Having a great season under Setien. Wonder when did they last finish ahead of Sevilla. Maybe in 2004-05 when the finished 4th and qualified for CL. Ricardo Oliviera days.
If any other club can be describe as my 2nd favorite club in Spain, it's Betis. I've always rooted for them when they don't play Madrid. It'd be nice if they finish ahead of Sevilla.
Morata with a potential miss of the season. I shall never question the business decisions of Florentino Perez after he managed to sell this guy for £60m.
I've always liked them too. They used to show up against Barca regularly those days. And this is my fav moment involving Betis. One of the crucial moments in the amazing title race in 2006-07.
Sevilla collapsing is deserved purely for celebrating the Madrid-Juve result with Bayern fans instead of minding their own business.
He was so good at Betis. Dunno how he flopped at Milan. Same with Baptista at RM. Dude used to give us hell in his Sevilla days. Still will be remembered for a long time due to his Clasico goal.
I'm 100% sure that must have been harder to win that any match PSG have played domestically this season.
I recall bits of it from his book -which was actually a good read, to my surprise- that his father used to be drunk 24/7 due to the death of his brother (in Balkan wars I think), Zlatan's sister ran away from home and never returned etc. etc., pretty shitty experiences in childhood that kinda made him the way he is.
It's a gimmick, i'm pretty sure he's actually pretty decent in private, i remember when he joined PSG he got some kind of endorsement with Microsoft/EA so e had them make xbox One consoles engraved with the number/name of every player on the team as gift, which was a cool move. He's maybe a bit barbaric, but mostly harmless. I just don't find him funny or exciting, mostly considering that the guy probably has more of a personality tjhan this gimmick allows him to show.
Neymar is today the much better player. Mbappe might be the better player in 5 years, but that's a worry for that point in time.
Not denying that. But with MBappe it would be a very smooth ride. He isn't a walking pain in the ass like Neymar.
It is a gimmick for sure, he basically says that in his book as well. All I was saying was the part re acting tough and rough but actually being pretty emotional/gentle inside.
I don't want a player that needlessly loses possession trying to do circus tricks for youtube "best of" compilations. As far as replacing Benzema, we are in the CL semi finals with a 30 year old, slow as a snail striker that misses 9/10 chances from within the 6 yard box. We don't need to spend 200ME to upgrade.
? He didn't do anything till his transfer was done. The only problem he had was with Jardim because he wanted to play the remaining games he had with Monaco but everyone at Monaco were scared that he would get injured, so they benched him till the end. What I was talking about is that he doesn't create problems in the dressing room.
