It almost feels fake that someone is defending Cubo - but we know why.

Not bad I guess. He did have a very good second half in my opinion.
He needs to play like that the rest of the season - a one off performance vs San Jose does nothing for us.

Look who made an appearance. I thought you were going to wait until your Central Americans players were lighting it up before showing up back here again.

What I’m really trying to do is prove the bias that you have.

Come down, people! Just because we have a sheetee organization and a team that cant win games, that doesnt mean yall have to insult your nationalities.

The real enemy here are the cheap owners and incompetent FO. None of them is Mexican or Honduran (oops, Oscar de la Pantyhose may be Mexican, but thats not the point).

Cant we all just... get along?

    MEOW!

the problem is some of us have reason to believe that the Front Office runs this team by facebook likes and comments. if the sane people don't speak up they live under the delusion that everything is all right.

every time a Central American player was signed those posts had hundreds of positive comments/likes so the FO ran with that marketing plan for a couple weeks. when it didn't pan out (neither in sold tickets or quality play) they cheated and went back to their original starting point in their marketing "choose your own adventure" book series.

so you are correct Encyclopedia Brown...that is me on social media speaking truth to the FO. someone has to do it.

PS - just stop stalking and send me a friend invite already.

Thumbs up for no other reason than being able to work two staples of 1980’s elementary school reading instruction into this post.

But yes, I often get the sense the entire FO watches twitter and Facebook and Instagram for the remainder of the business day after announcing a signing

They are on their collective knees, hoping and praying people in and around Houston buy a ticket or two and show up some Saturday night. Imagine this every week, season after season these past many years. No foresight on how to grow an actual soccer culture that engages our Dynamo fans and newbies to the sport of soccer to follow the coverage of the sport. To follow from our areas local youth standouts, to those that get a college offer, to those oven better that get a pro offer and finally to the Dynamo players themselves, reppin' our city's name and footballing culture. Which is diverse and very strong here, has been for decades now. The fact that all this is not tapped into is very sad as a Front Office goes.

And this is in the league that has MLS HQ and new investors talking that MLS will be one of the best professional leagues in the entire world soon! All I am looking for is a good Academy for our city's youth and like you stated, cold, cheap beers and some good soccer on display! Our club is quickly getting left behind.

The problem is this League would be ecstatic if they had 4 or 5 super star clubs that sell out and a bunch of teams for them to beat up on. The MLS model is broken and they keep expanding as if there is an overabundance of talent and officials. You end up with a retirement league for Europeans, a bunch of young cheap Central/South Americans trying to get noticed, and some US players that have no business getting paid to play soccer.

So, basically just like all the so-called "big leagues" in the world then?

pretty much, but alot of those scrub teams in the Big Leagues around the world would give the best MLS Teams a run for their money.

    This.
If us in MLS were equal to Gremio, Boca Jrs., Nacional or Chape! Then that is fine. A terrific football club from the Americas. Clubs that develop their own talent, draw solid crowds season after season with no marketing gimmicks and can hang with any club from Europe. But us in MLS a'int!
Us in MLS still have a very long way to go to run with the big dogs on our planet.
