Yes, the Protestant/Loyalist pitch is on the right side of the wall and the Catholic/Nationalist pitch on the left. (You may have to read Gerry Adams' biography to get that).

What's this? MORE red meat to chew on stadium nerds (like me)?https://t.co/8j5McwFjJD— Steve Davis (@SteveDavis90) April 17, 2018 There you go guys
I feel like 26,000 is a little small, but at this point I almost don't even care. Any progress at all is welcome.
Good luck guys. Report: NYCFC planning for $700M, 26,000-seat stadium in the Bronx https://www.thescore.com/mls/news/1529410
From the pictures, it looks like about as large a stadium as they can wedge into that space. And given the difficulties of NYC real estate, I can't complain about them not finding a larger space.
Get the land and a stadium first, they could potentially build upward like Portland, after they actually build a stadium. As a follower I'm hyped for this news and hope it falls in place.
Soccer stadium website has article on potential NYC FC stadium in the Bronx. New design: Finally, MLS stadium in New York? http://stadiumdb.com/news/2018/04/new_design_finally_mls_stadium_in_new_york
well that's not great https://t.co/5n7ru5htEe— Blue York One (@BlueYorkOne) April 25, 2018 Not surprising. When you get past the oh boy factor, there were just too many flaws transportation wise.
I'm not sure "flawed" is a proper term, but I do somewhat agree about the transportation being a tad on the problematic side. The nearest subway is the 6 and playing on Google Maps it appears to be roughly about 1/2 mile walk away. Sure some people wouldn't care about that, but a lot would. And forget about the 4, that seems like it's slightly less than 1 mile away.
If that were the location wouldn't it be better if the stadium fitted into the local surroundings? Yankee Stadium is surrounded by parks but where there are buildings the stadium doesn't look out of place.
https://www.crainsnewyork.com/real-estate/city-releases-two-willets-point-proposals Seems I prefer the Bronx site being a Yankee fan. In my honest opinion, Atlantic Yards would have been awesome if they could have swiped it before the Nets moved in.
I think the proposed team is called Queensborough United and will play in USL. https://soccerinnyc.com/2018/12/28/more-details-emerge-about-the-queens-pro-soccer-club/
Yankee Stadium was an absolute disgrace yesterday. The dimensions, the turf, the stadium...Ugh. I am far from a soccer connoisseur (I regularly watch NPSL!!) and that was as close to unwatchable for a soccer game as I've ever seen.
