This isn't a tech problem but I don't see another thread for tech help. How do I remove the annoying Trending Threads box that continues to scroll along the right side of my window. I'm not interested in trending threads so don't need it. Thanks.

See the arrow in the circle? Click on it and point it to the right. (in the upper right corner of your screen)

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately I don't have an arrow to the left of the Post New Thread button. I only have that other symbol that is to the left of arrow in your red circle. Any other advice about how to get to the settings? I have looked at various items in my profile and only see display information related to posts and signatures.

Mobile browsing? And IIRC, there is another way to change that as well. It was an issue when the forum was modified a few months (year?) ago. Read though this, or the previous (I'm a bit busy to find the exact posts) I'm talking about.

I am not mobile browsing; only use a laptop for Big Soccer. Maybe it was a glitch since now the trending threads are at the bottom of the window. I looked through the posts EvanJ linked and it looked like there was a plan to move to the bottom. I'd prefer to get rid of them in general but at the bottom is better than the side.

    Thanks.

Can you provide a screenshot of the top of the page so we can see what you are looking at?

Sorry for the slow reply. Here is a screenshot; it's basically the same as your second sreenshot.

Okay, so I duplicated. But to do so, I had to first display the trending threads, then I had to reduce the size of the browser, in that order.

When I maximize the browser, I get the previously shown image.

My conclusion is that you are either:
1 - on a device that cannot expand the browser beyond what you are showing; or
2 - have reduced the size of the browser.

2 is solvable by maximizing the browser size.
1 is not something which I have found a solution for.

Can you confirm which it is (or something else)?

I'm on a laptop. 13" macbook, using Firefox (latest version more or less). When I fill the laptop window with the browser the trending threads move to the side but I don't see that arrow that appears in your original screenshot. When I shrink the browser window just a touch, the trending threads move back to the bottom. What I would love is to get rid of them all together. I'm sure some people care about trending threads. In my case, I come to big soccer for the TV/radio thread, which is a spoiler-free thread and to the collectors forum, which is also spoiler free. So the the trending threads always have the potential to spoil a match. If it's not possible to get rid of the trending threads then I know to just keep my browser at a size that prevents the trending threads from appearing along the side.

it's easy. install ublockorigin to your browser and remove the element you don't want to see.

Different issue, but about Trending Threads

@Andy R, could you please look at excluding this forum and this one? Those threads are usually at the top, and they aren't really soccer threads.

Logged-out users can sometimes only see 2 trending, not 5, because those threads are hidden.
