this season everybody's been sharing scoring wise. so Islacker's got only 4 goals, Roord & Rolfo lead BM, but with only 5 a piece. That's because this season, the BM roster is way, way to huge& playing time is way too limited

islacker obviously went for the 6 figure contract, but it was probably the wrong team for her, as an active goal scorer needs to keep busy & BM's slow pace version isn't best suited her her style.

She might of not have such an impact on the NT, but the league's top domestic player, Linda Magull, has had even less/ .Got the feeling, only a complete change of style, more Klopp-ish than Low-ish, would have a greater impact on NT for those two.

When Demann returns to the NT, she should only be an option for CB, not DM... way too slow to play that position

Anyway in DFB Halbfinale we have Essen vs Wolfsburg and Potsdam vs Bayern

Don’t know who I’m cheering the most for: Jojo Elsig or Leo Maier...?

In the right team, using the right style, she still has potential to be a good forward.

I mean also lacking the abilities of a natural goal scorer, Huth was dying at Frankfurt too, but found a second chance at life with a move to Potsdam.

But like you acknowledge, now aged 24, still a significant distance away from what a peer like Bremer showcased in this league, many will feel probably feel it's now or never for Petermann.

Laudehr's ex flame, Anne Marie Crmogoravic, leaves Frankfurt for the Portland Thorns(not sure exactly when though)

btw..........arguably the richest club in the world has just announced they will start a women's pro team. Will they be raiding the Bundesliga again>?

here's high lights of Wolfsburg's defeat over the Czech team. I love the wide attacks where the winger beats the defender. 1v1 & either take the shot herself or squares it off to the middle. I hope the NT coach is watching this as he takes on the Czech's(with many from this club) in three weeks. This game does expose the Czech defense weakness, so the best way to take them on in my opinion is swiftly(before they set up their defensive positions) rather than play the same old Neid/Jones slow down the tempo/over passing game/
One thing missing though in the WOB attack this time, German goal scores; the closest was Blasse at the 2.15 mark of the video

That's a pretty obvious statement lol.

But I guess that's how bad this teams coaching has been over recent years, that Football tactics for dummies is now being presented as the next ground breaking philosophy for them to try and introduce lol.

So lets look towards the next chapter now, where hotjam2 will tell us how a higher percentage of goals are scored inside the penalty box, and why Germany should try a lot harder to accomplish this more often....

Yes... I think we did it. Now somebody needs to send this to the DFB....

but I rather go with what the late Brian Clough said

Football is a simply game needlessly complicated by idiots

and here's the great Brian Clough in action(as far as I know the only coach,to have a movie made on him)

and the result of that 'brilliant' speech

Looks to be in better form this year than last year. Can play out wide and move towards the centre of the pitch which I saw her do yesterday pretty well.

please tell me this is a joke? Whats so frustrating about the BM/Hoffenheim game; BM got 6-8 important GE NT members on it. But Worle is a very slow burn type coach that barely dominates/or get's the best out of his players in a game & keeps several good players(including good domestic ones) on the bench, thanks to his all ready over stuffed squad. His team might of taken over 20 shots, but they only scored one goal(the difficult one by Dabritz in their lastest game)

In the meantime. Hoffenheim might have a some good youth players, but can't seem to jell/or even learn when their playing besides very average veterans/yet the ironic thing is if Hoffenheim could only have some of BM's bench players)like now apparently Islacker) it could help their squad become better players/I mean this team sadly lacked any real offense)

In this regard/ironically, Worle is killing the league. With all the money he(or his club has) he's picking the fastest players in the league(as well as outside) & mushing them into his slow poke style/ Willing to bet there's no way Magull will score that many goals as she's currently doing at Freiburg.

Sorry the long rant, but rather than keep blaming Jones/Neid for all the problems with the NT, it's the BUND clubs that should be just as responsible, when Frankfurt gives up their best player(who could turn out to another bench warmer like Islacker at BM:/ German pro clubs need to spend more money on woso(not just BM) they got the money, especially if they pay their male counterparts up to 100 times more salary

I agree with your thoughts on Bayern's squad still being rather unbalanced and needlessly bloated with players they will never use; but them saying their signing Hendrich as a CB isn't a bad thing seeing it's for her to eventually partner Demann.

This because Georges was never a long term signing, and Bayern having Wenninger - Schnaderbeck - Demann - Hendrich as CB options for a defense featuring Faißt - Maier - Lewandowski remains pretty impressive, no?

After seeing the first half of their match vs Hoffenheim, I'm not quite understanding the signing of Magull (they already have a young #10 in Roord), when it's more obvious how much they still need a quality striker; but I'm definitely more intrigued with Bayern's improved recruitment policy now.

See, not even needing Magull (one of the leagues best AM's), Bayern will still have Gerhardt - Rolfö - Wieder - Beerensteyn - Roord - Däbritz - Leupolz next season; with somebody like a young Lohmann being one of the best CM talents I've seen the German program produce in a very long time too.

So even if Behringer and Laudeher take a back seat, Bayern's defense and mid-field already looks more understandable than it has for a few years now, and that can't be a completely bad thing when it could potentially benefit the wnt having so many national team players working together every week...?

Frankfurt have been losing their best players to various rivals for a long time though, and will likely soon add Groenen to the growing list of next season departures; a list already featuring AMC (can't spell her name) and Hendrich; so why pretend this is a new thing...?

Wolfsburg have surprisingly announced they'll be promoting junior international goal machine Anna-Lena Stolze to the senior squad in the place of Wullaert who's headed to Man City; but I'd agree... to the potential detriment of the national team, the recruitment policy of the leagues two richest clubs hasn't been the best for a few years.

So if there's a legitimate concern with the way two rich clubs could potentially damage the progress of the senior wnt, it probably still doesn't fully explain the recent dysfunction that's seen various domestic talents all continue to excel on every stage but the most important one featuring the national team.

Players on other wnt's are fine or improve within the exact same environment.

Hoffenheim’s goalie was excellent that game. They should’ve scored more considering that Roord waste plenty of good chances. Also Leupolz, Däbritz and Maier look in better form so far in 2018

I know you’re a huge fan of counters and a fast going game hotjam ala Italy 2016 euro, but I prefer a NT that’s able to do both...

If Hendrich’s partnering Demann for Bayern, it could be the same for the NT as well... but dear, I want Elsig to start there which makes me think of a back trio with Demann, Elsig and Hendrich? 8)

Bayern Munich might become a powerful team but it's just going to weaken the rest of the league, especially Freiburg & Frankfurt might be reduced to average squads.by next year. It might work in the men's game, but there isn't anywhere the depth/participation rate to make up for it in woso. I'm afraid the Bundesliga might be turning into the French League(where it's 3 super teams vs 9 mediocre ones). complacency might just take over for super teams against weaker opposition, as well as those weak teams few good players will not get better having such average team mates to work with.

The French's(women's) failure to win anything at the NT level has often been dissected to having a couple super teams& not much else for their players to compete with the rest of the season.

BM might not even make it to the Champions League. Even if they do, despite their supposed all-star lineup, Lyon pretty much owns it; not just their offensive lineup of Hegerberg, Le Sommer, Maro, Henry &, van de Sanden, plus mvp of the last u20 WC, Cascarino. But just look at their defense now; Bronze, often voted best right FB in the world, Majri, often voted best left FB/ At CB, Buchanen, who made the FIFA top ten short list at age 19, Renard, most often cited the best offensive CB in the world, and then, even their GK, Bouhadi, got voted best GK in some polls. On paper, their the #1 team in the world, I venture to bet their way better than the USWNT(which, you recall, Thomsen, two 19 year olds proved to be their best players at SBC)

lol, SC Sand sign ANOTHER player from Wolfsburg's second team; which highlights exactly why I was shocked Wolfsburg's coaching department allowed Stolze to take Wullaert's place in their first team squad.
Well, I'm still in the belief more key players from Potsdam and Freiburg are on the move...

So don't be surprised to see Elsig or Simon become parts of Bayern's new national team project, or have Wolfsburg finally do something smart and start planning for life after Fischer.

I guess we all agree that Lyon's OP lol

Freiburg still have many good players, but obviously it hurts that Magull's leaving. Benkarth's going to Bayern, because...? sitting on the bench?? Frankfurt's been a mediocre team the last seasons and will struggle without Hendrich, Cronogervic or what her name is and possibly without Grönen

Turbine Potsdam loses Kemme and Wälti next season, and I don't expect Elsig to stay for much longer as well when her contract expires

How long is a gem like Dallmann staying in Essen...?

yes Bundesliga might pretty much become Wolfsburg and Bayern vs everyone else

@hotjam2 It looks like one of the random eastern European's you love to hate decided to showcase their potential in Potsdam's recent win lol.

I don't know her name (which probably highlights your particular disinterest in seeing any of them in this team), but her impact in Potsdam's goals looked pretty impressive, no..?

Oh, and seeing how you want Germany to play with wingers, what do you think about the potential of Potsdam Schwalm..?

I stated years ago that there are too many foreigners in la Bundesliga taking away playing time from our youth prospects. It's a repeat of what happened in the 90ies with our men's side.

Just look at how many German players Wolfsburg still field on the regular. Considering this it can only be good that Bayern are actually trying to buy the best German prospects to provide them with playing time in CL

Like personally I would love to see Elsig and Simon with Bayern, but not beneficial for the league of course...

Peter's done, her contract expires next year and she won't ever play for the NT again so yes Wolfsburg better start using Wensing and Wedemeyer some more
