    Horrendous performance today.

Was directly responsible for Barca's 1-0 goal & 2-0 goal for him ignoring his defensive dutites and pushes up on the field...

He was useless for 90 minutes, especially with Kovacic following Messi. In attack he offers 0. Isco, Kovacic, Kroos and Modric midfield would have made more impact.

Maybe. But in second half i would definitely opt for Casemiro - Isco change. I doubt defensively it would change much - due to Kova covering Messi masterfully, but in terms of offense we would get another dimension and put pressure on Barca.

I would like to see a few games without CDM and Kroos. For example:

    Ceballos - Modrić - Kova - Isco

To me that is where kante is way better than caseimiro as he is a much better passer of the ball and can start attack way better but he never seems to forget his defensive duties with him being quicker aswell which makes better at closing down the space left behind.

Caseimiro plays better when we are playing counter attacking football but i would take kante all day long i had to choose someone to play sentinel .

I don't blame Casemiro for the shit second half. If a change in midfield was to be done it should have been Isco for Kroos. The better option even was to put Isco instead of Benzema.

Dumbest decision was leaving out Isco I think.

lawl thats a no brainer, does someone think that Casemiro is actually better? Kante beats him in every aspect of the game

Kovacic was at fault for the first goal. Most fundamental defensive error to leave the man with the ball charge up the field.

Casemiro is the best DM in the world and its a joke how ungrateful people can be after one game where as usual for 99 percent of the time he did his job with no fuss.

Isco should have played instead of Benzema, not Casemiro.

Not sure if the best but one of the best. More importantly, one of the most constant and solid players we have in the last 2 years and that's without mentioning the important goals he scored throughout this period of time, more then our "best striker in the world" benz.

Hands down the most improved player since Zidane took over.

Immense today. Has a knack for big goals in big games too.

One of the most brilliant transfers in modern football, on paper at least. Looking back to many years ago you'd never imagine us making a move like that and it paying off this well.

Funniest thing is people have already written him off at some point, despite him being still young. How he proved everyone wrong was nothing short of epic. Just goes to show what you can achieve with hard work and a real opportunity.

A football player in the most classic sense of the word, no nonsense. Someone who you actually want to have on your team (otherwise he’ll go through you as he himsels stated). His technique on the ball (and passing) is underrated, he’s simply an amazing player in my opinion. Very complete.

Agree with @4x4s that this has to be one of the best signings of modern football.

Feel like we're going as far as Casemiro takes us. The difference of impact when he has a good game vs bad game is so noticable.

Casemiro won the Champions League every single season he has played for us. He went to Porto during the 2014-2015 season.

I think he's the only one who will have to improve his ball skills and technique to better fit in with the new tactics.

That's what I like so much about Lope's appointment. His style suits our players' characteristics so well. No wonder the players went for him themselves. I'm very excited and no transfer news or lack thereof will cool that. :)
