Russia 2018: Ticket Thread (sales at face-value ONLY)

I did quite a bit of pre-draw research and selected Match 20 in Kazan as it fit my itinerary and Kazan appealed to me from a tourist perspective as an interesting place to visit that will be different from the other Russian cities I'm visiting. It ended up being Iran v Spain in the draw, a match that I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to this stop on my tour.

 

Yes I got both of the games plus Argentina v Bosnia and three others at the first time of asking and convinced I got them because I booked two FIFA hotels before that.

Mexico barely qualified last World Cup. They should of beat Netherlands in Fortaleza setting up Costa Rica Mexico!!! That would of been a doozy! U never know...

I misread 3/4 for quarterfinals 1/4. I feel like 1/4 are the easiest to get of tickets. Visiting tourists with premade plans come for the group stage and like to stay for the r16 and go home or leave with their team? Which leaves a lot of 1/4 open which outside the big cities / games with the host seem readily available. R16 and qfinal might have tickets available the day of the game. I've picked one up and sold my extra ticket the day of the game fv on big soccer. The semi final seems gettable in all fcfs stages as long as ur in fast. Again sold my extra right before the disaster in belo Horizonte on big soccer. The final is .1% chance unless u get a tst or run into some nice people which I also have done. Just watch these forums if ur in country still during the games. Some tickets usually pop up. People's travel plans change. People have emergencies and gotta go home.

This is wrong, they simply decided not to sell those tickets for this fcfs. They are probably allocating a lot of tickets to sponsors or other phases, but by no means are they sold out.

 

Ur right probably will be available again during the third phase

 

i got cat 3 tickets to qf samara and kazan (from someone here)
so have this tickets at fv:
2 cat 1 qf nizni
2 cat 1 qf samara
maybe 2 cat 1 qf kazan
each ticket is 365$...

I agree. IMO I think FIFA is holding these games to drive up demand. And hoping that people that are desperate enough, go and buy their hospitality/vip/etc tickets. Plus returns from fed/sponsors/etc will also make it into the final phase.

 

Possible, but at the same time there are no more hospitality tickets for some of those games so it wouldn’t make sense

 

You are right, many tickets especially on semifinals, final and those with Russia are booked for different footbal associations, officials etc. on 13 march there were few tickets to semifinals and 3rd place game and only of the 1st category

 

In the beginning of last FCFS on Tuesday there were tickets in the three categories for semifinals and 3rd place match. Moreover for 3rd place match , tickets kept available for three categories for a longer time.

So, I paid for tickets for two of my matches via bank transfer. However, they are still showing up as pending. One of these is for the semifinals. I am freaking out wondering if FIFA will cancel the tickets or not... Is anyone else in this situation?

 

Poles and russians are not the best of friends. Maybe the thought of trouble has turned many of them off.
