I am quite certain Cordeiro said as soon as he won the election "Let's screw over Thundering165 on BS and play a match on March 27 while he is on his way to England. Mwahahahahahaha!!"

Yes, that was an important faction to alienate.

A home friendly in a 10,000 seat stadium against another non World Cup opponent is a stunning lack of ambition. It looks like only one friendly in the March, 2018 FIFA window, just as in the November, 2017 window. The promise of a full schedule after the debacle in Trinidad was just more hot air from Gulati.

I must add that on the same night that the USMNT plays Paraguay in Cary, NC, the Mexican MNT plays Croatia in the 80,000 capacity Dallas Cowboy AT&T Stadium.

Does SUM make more money at a NFL stadium or a USL stadium?

I personally don't care who they play as long as they play someone and they are not a fellow CONCACAF team.

Hey @bshredder, you should definitely write an article about how Mexico is playing two friendlies in America, Iceland at Levi Stadium and Croatia at AT&T Stadium while SUM is pocketing the money and the US only gets one game at a 10,000 seat stadium after we were promised a full schedule.

Are they in a 10,000 seat stadium because:

    1. They can't sell out anything larger
    2. They can make more money selling 10,000 $100+ tickets and 20,000 $40 tickets
    3. As a thank you to the stadium owner for leaving the NASL

Probably all three, a win-win-win for SUM.

    Is it grass or turf?

    So we play:

    5/28 in Chester, PA
    6/2 in Dublin, Ireland
    6/9 in Lyon, France

The Bolivia games seems strange. Do you think they will have a camp in Europe then fly to Philly for that game? Or will they have a camp in the USA, then have another in Ireland/France? The leagues in Europe are generally done on 5/12-13.

Not really that was his goal at Azteca.

A 'D' should be given if it were a picture of Bedoya playing DM vs. Brazil.

@ this point, unless I'm mistaken it sounds like:

    May:
    Vs Bolivia

    June:
    @ Ireland
    @ France

    September:
    Vs Brazil
    Vs Mexico

    November:
    @ England
    @Italy

Still think they're all halfwits and idiots, but I'm not going to argue with scheduling. Damn nice lineup of friendlies to challenge the youngsters with as we try to build anew, 3 games against top 10 teams in the world and a game with Italy. Nice.

It's as close as we will get to being in a Group of Death this year. Kinda doubt these friendlies would be scheduled if we had a new manager in place already. I don't think very many people would want to take over a program that failed to qualify for the WC by running that gauntlet. All of those tough games will either be on the road or in stadiums full of people cheering for the other team so I guess that is pretty good prep for CONCACAF qualifying.

May we re-designate the England friendly as a home match? :D

Hopefully it translates to the ability to get a tie at T&T when needed next time.

9.7 for us, but 7.9 for Brazil - sounds about right.
