No. FC Juarez plays in a stadium that is a mile and a half from the closest border crossing. They are in the Mexican 2nd division and announced last April they are building a new stadium because the one they currently occupy belongs to a University. Sounds like a Mickey Mouse league to me.
Well, if you wanted to set up a PDL or similar club, this soccer field at the Académie Ste-Cécile International School in Windsor, Ontario, is walking distance from the US border (the red line on this map):
That red line is not the US Canada border. At no point does Windsor touch the US. The Detroit river cuts it off. If you zoom out of the pic and follow Highway 3 to the North you cross over the Ambassador Bridge that connects Windsor to Detroit.
No worries. With FC Juarez's stadium, Estadio Olimpico Benito Juarez, a big armed QB could probably stand on the top row and throw a football (American) across the border. I would put a pic up but I'm not that tech savvy.
I didn't expect Rubio to get as much playing time as he did last night. He hasn't even made the bench since he's been there. Hope this means that he'll be getting more playing time with the first team.
I knew BS would not disappoint. Vancouver (CAN) is pretty far from the land border, relatively speaking. Downtown is about 20 miles even to Pt. Roberts. We need a map of all closest 1st division abroad clubs!
Submitting two candidates: 1) Roda JC, about 1.5 miles from Germany. 2) VVV-Venlo, about 1 mile from Germany.
I had a feeling Benelux would be ripe with these teams. Excel Mouscron is 0.7 miles from the French border.
I meant closest to US (least "abroad" abroad - like, could walk from my house in San Yisdro to the stadium, close...) Google tells me Rubio could ride his bike from Los Americas outlets to the stadium in 30 mins. He's pretty fit, so I'd say he could do it in 20, the only problem is the line-up, but it's usually not too bad if you're on foot.
Wahahahaaaaa. You guys aren't playing right!! Wahahahahahaaaaaa. I'm taking my post and going home... Pretty sure @VBCity72 nailed it with FC Juarez.
And Andorra and Lichtenstein I've been to Liechtenstein. The border crossings (under 10 mins each) take almost much time as driving across the country
sigh... Slow walk across office. Quiety close door shake head like a crusty old geezer. Meanwhile, inside, Rover opens a stout. Chuckles. Pours out. Puts feet on desk... Smiles to self. "And I didn't even bring up Monaco..."

People forget how good he was before he got injured. He was a much better player than Arriola before he got injured.
Yeah, the injury for sure took some momentum out of his career. He was very close to starting regularly for Utrecht. Injury and coaching change hurt his progress on what has become a very respectable Ered club of late. Would he have beaten out Nacer for the #10? I'd say probably. Would he have been good enough they wouldn't have looked for an upgrade? That's debatable. He was also sidetracked by Haller sticking it out at Utrecht longer than some suspected. But that's all parrellel universe stuff. He's where he's at and can hopefully step it back up the ladder again. It does not help him that he is a tweener. I don't think he's a great striker, but he doesn't have the touch of the best AMs. He's kind of Dempsey-ish in where he is most effective (not skills/playing style, but more that he's good hanging between "normal"midefielder and "true" striker. Though this is all based on watching him what must now be 3 seasons ago. Be interesting for me to watch where he's at now.
