Folks, The Australian A league starts this week and I was wondering if any games will be on TV in the United States. A couple of years ago there was 2 games on each week. Fox Sports 1 and/or 2 and FS + would televise the games. Last year there was no TV coverage in the United States. If there is no TV coverage available what is the best way to watch the games on line. Any information will be appreciated.
Unfortunately, no sign of the A-League on Fox this year either. Took a look at OneWorldSports which would be another candidate for this type of league but no listings. You're only hope would be NGSN once they re-launch (perhaps later this month). If you are really desperate to watch the A-League, your only choice would be an iptv service. BTSport in the UK, ArenaSport/Croatia & Serbia and SporTV from Slovenia will have coverage starting this weekend. Your biggest problem with iptv will be lack of recording which means getting up at ungodly hours to catch the A-League. There is always a chance someone out there posts matches in a torrent form, I guess, so you can download soon after the matches are over and watch. Don't know of any sites that may offer that at the moment, however. SA www.soccertvblog.com

Did they air anything about the A-league on the US version of ESPNFC? On the 1 hour version that we got here they had a full segment devoted to the A-league were they showed highilghts from all 5 games played on the weekend, this certainly never happened in previous session so I am hoping this is more than just a once off due to little club football being played this weekend
After some googling, it appears you can watch games for the A-League on this service https://www.oz.com/a-league/home I never tried the service, so personally I can't comment on how good it is. Not too friendly of pricing if you ask me for just one league, but I guess for the dedicated fans it might be worth it. $5 per game individually or $10 a month.
Thanks for the info. Not interested at that price since I’m just a casual viewer, but good to know it exists.
Just checked out the link. It’s actually $5 per month or $2 per game, so either they lowered the price since @teresjones posted or are you in Australia @teresjones and there is different pricing for domestic v international? At $5 per month I may try it out. (EDIT: I suppose if you were in AUS they wouldn’t have listed the price in US dollars so I’m guessing they lowered the price.)
The service is good and the video quality is good, and they have iOS and Apple TV apps, but I didn’t watch, so I canceled. When I canceled, I saw they claimed to be “official Eredivisie streaming” also for $4.99 per month. So I signed up for that, but I don’t see any future Eredivisie events listed and the small selection of on demand games are like two months old. I emailed their support to ask why the f was up, but haven’t heard back yet. I feel I’ve been conned, but I’m confused because their A-League offering seems completely legit. Does anyone have any info?
I checked it out. For some reason, Eredivisie isn’t able to be shown in US. Weird because no one has any rights to it, ( i.e. Goltv, BeIN, Fox or DisneyPN). Otherwise $5-10 a month for Dutch, A-League AND Scottish would be legit. But here in the States we only get A-League.
Well there’s something wrong with their site because when you go to their Scottish page or their Belgian page, or some of their basketball league pages, it specifically states “not available in your country.” But that tag doesn’t show up for Eredivisie, which is actually advertised as available on the “United States” page, and there are old on demand games available. Did you hear from them that the reason is because it’s not available in the US? I could check with a VPN.
I logged in with VPN to servers in countries outside the USA. So Scotland and Belgian leagues didn't show "not available in your country." But no upcoming events in the Belgian or Scottish leagues and just like Eredivisie, the most recent on demand games are from December. I note that their Twitter account which had multiple daily updates (@OZ) stops posting around the same time. Yet they continue to show A-League and W-League games.
Their response was that they just build the platform and the “channel holder” (ostensibly Eredivisie) decides on the content, but that doesn’t explain why the Eredivisie, the Scottish League and the Belgian league appear to have ditched them at the same time (despite the site still advertising those leagues, depending on the viewer’s location), nor why their twitter has been dormant for two months.
Well, they now have three Eredivisie games listed in upcoming events for the weekend. AZ-Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday and Ajax-ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord-PSV, the latter two (early) Sunday.
But when you try to sign up it only allows for the A-League...other leagues are not available. So regardless of the schedule, we can’t get access to Eredivisie. Or are you signed up already and the Dutch games have suddenly popped up?
Weird. I’d signed up and then saw that there were no upcoming games and the only on demand games were from months ago (as detailed in prior posts), so I cancelled, but the cancellation isn’t effective until the month runs out and after seeing nothing listed on the site, today those three games popped up as upcoming for me. Here’s a screenshot of what I see on the iOS app (my times are pacific).
I logged out of my account on the web (safari on my iPhone) and saw the Eredivisie games as upcoming events and was able to get to the screen to sign up for Eredivisie.
So I went back and, lo and behold, they are offering these leagues. I signed up for the 30 day free trial. Says Jupiler, SPL, A-League AND Eredivisie are available but I wsill believe it when I click on one at gametime tomorrow. My new issue, however, is when trying to login on the ios app it says I am not a member yet. Weird because I am literally logged in via my (crappy) old Dell laptop. So we shall see @daniloni but if this works with A-League and at least Eredivisie, the $9.99 looks more reasonable.
For Scottish and Belgian, there are games listed but it says “not available in your country.” (See screenshots .) I assume it would work through a VPN. The A-League has been working perfectly all season. I just canceled because my stamina has decreased and I’d been going to sleep rather than watching the games. I don’t know if Chinese will be available in the USA when the season starts, but I’m not likely to watch games at midnight and 4 am pacific.
