Anything can happen in the playoffs....we can be super liders, ball everyone up....won't mean anything if we don't get that chip.

Sure anything can happen but that's why I say I like our "chances," as in never a sure thing. We've got high end talent, depth, and are playing cohesively. We might not get a title but, considering all the we've got going, that would have to be considered a disappointment.

The last super lider to win the league is America. America doesn't do well in finals away from home.

Brother I agree, still have a lot of games to play, but man it feels so damn good all the key players and refuerzos are clicking and have been playing pretty good, unlike near the end of last season..

And best part of this is that just this Friday some dude on ESPN was running his mouth about America not scoring a lot, even brought up the liguilla , and now they got 10 goals in 3 games lol

It's my pessimistic nature....I was watching Futbol Picante tonight and now we're favorites to be fighting for a title when pre-season this team was being hella criticized for the moves they made.

I like this team....but honestly, Morelia was the 1st "good" team we have beat.

We looked pretty good against Tigres. I’d say I like our chances, considering we just trashed Morelia. Still, I think we could be playing better. We’re going to be playing a bunch of games the next few weeks. We’ll see if there’s enough depth in the squad to compete in both tournaments...though i think reaching the CCL knockout rounds is a foregone conclusion.

The CCL is only knockout stage now. It starts as a R16 bracket.

Piojo says that the negotiations with two MLS teams for Quintero are still ongoing and something could happen this week if at all.

Thorough domination over Saprissa. Well done!

With the second leg at home and already up 4 goals, I want only bench players next week.

Team looks strong. Saw game vs saprissa...I think saprissa was really bad which made the CA look terrific. Good win. Cecilio on fire. He must have been hurt last season.

good game...I was confident that America could go into Costa Rica and get a hard earned W, I never expected them to ball up Saprissa like they did.

    Line-up vs. Xolos:

    ------------------- Marchesin -------------------
    Aguilar --- Valdez ----- Aguilera --- Vargas
    -------------- Guido ---- William ----------------
    ---- Renato --------------------- Ibarguen -----
    ----------- Menez -------- Peralta ------------

Uribe is out with yellow card accumulation. Darwin will be the other foreign player sacrificed.

Also, Santander will be the ref.

Xolos came in with a plan to park the bus and grind out an ugly ass 0-0 draw. They succeeded. Not a whole lot else to say about that.

We couldn't finish, didn't create any chances in the 1st....Lajud with a great game.

I'm not TOO upset with the result since the team played well in the 2nd half.

    Paul Aguilar:

“Xolos es un equipo que se tiró totalmente atrás, que no vino a proponer absolutamente nada, hasta se puede decir que un equipo ratonero y bueno, se llevó un punto que para mi gusto, no merecían.

Para que te des cuenta de las aspiraciones de uno y otro, América tratando de calificar lo más rápido posible y otro, saca un punto y festeja como si hubiera ganado un Mundial”

    Line-up vs. Saprissa:

    ------------------- Jimenez -------------------
    Orrantia --- Valdez ----- Edson --- Vargas
    -------------- Corona ---- Uribe ----------------
    ---- Darwin --------------------- Cecilio-----
    ----------- Martin -------- Peralta ------------

Too many starters for me. Saprissa isn't overcoming a 4+ goal difference even against a pure bench line-up.

Lainez is with the Mexican U20. Wero Diaz is injured. Missed opportunities.

Gotta play it safe.....depending on the score, most of the "regular" starters will be subbed out.

I don't mind the Oribe Henry start....I kinda don't want Cecilio starting.
