Whoa! Sure looked like a PK to me! Should be 5–1 right now. Edit: but then again they should had one when elneny tackled their guy in our box in 1T
Time to eat some crow Rebecca Lowe. Yeah, fat chance of that! At half time she framed our dominance as just a welcome distraction from our other issues. Gimme a break luv!
Yeah that's why I said that. Slightly pleased to see in her post match comments that we were "brilliant".
Yeah. First half was peak Wengerball. Second half was a gritty performance. At least we didn't capitulate. Seems like the team just played better together today. Much more fluid, less selfish, creative. I wonder what the big change is....
Beautiful attacking football in first half When this team has momentum... goals come in bunches and hunger is evident What is also evident that without Özil this team has little bite Wilshere was exceptional today in part because he had Özil up top and two mfs in back allow him to play box to box without any worries Iwobi has all physical tools but lacks the final. Passing and shooting... should have done better - as could laca- for ********s sake- shoot!! All in all... good start Post Sánchez I honestly expected a draw today
Yes I know that. I've known that from the get-go when NBC started covering the EPL. But better her doing this than Erin Andrews, she wouldn't know the offside rule worth shit, Andy Gray would be spot on on that if Erin Andrews was covering the EPL.
Mesut Ozil's movement is extraordinary to say the least. The fourth goal scored by Arsenal was largely down to the German's excellent movement where he was able to drag player after player towards him to open space for his teammates, ending with Lacazette's finish.#ARSCRY pic.twitter.com/Nrmc0OncTl— The Analysis (@_theanalysis_) January 20, 2018
watched the majority of this match on the NBCSports stream . . . which realllllly sucked. Resolution kept fading back and forth, and it was constantly interrupted by 30 second long pauses.
Is there not a little bit of truth in that though? I mean we do have some pressing issues affecting the club. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we won and in such surprising fashion, but I'm not buying it as a new awakening of performance just yet. As long as Wenger remains I feel we will continue to be consistently inconsistent.
I've never been a regular poster, but I typically come to these boards at least 5 days a week, if not daily. I think the club's regression on the pitch and general predictability have also contributed significantly here. I do love the info and banter...it's what keeps me coming back.
But not yours, the competition is pretty stiff for that (for reals, quit being a gratuitous asshole).
It's like ding-dong, the witch is dead out there. I can only wonder what it's going to be like when Wenger finally leaves.
Well that was fun. The woman in front of me brought her Crystal Palace supporting friend, a bad day to pick! Plenty of fluid attacking movement, quick passing, decent on the break and four goals in 20 minutes allowed us to cruise through the rest of the game. The last goal was great to watch, one-touch passing, quick movement and the back-heel assist was beautiful I agree on Iwobi's final ball, whether that be a pass or a shot. The one he had in the second half on the break that the keeper saved was crying out for a simple ball rolled square for a tap in for Lacazette. I wasn't surprised he was taken off late on, he looked spent. Hopefully Monreal's injury isn't too bad, having a real left back made a huge difference.
Not a bad weekend. We pickup 2 points on Spurs in 5th. Having said that... how low our hopes and expectations are this year compared to not too many years ago.
Fun fact hearsay: Monreal's 1 goal + 2 assists was equal to his tally in the previous 43 games combined. Ha! p.s. Here's a public service announcement that we have a pretty important semi-final in 2 days... you listening @The Foo Fighter ?
