on some bad news, seems like Gomez got injured which is why he was subbed out early on the 2nd half.

Srbeny should be at least at 2BL next season, so we'll see if he has what it takes to keep climbing and adapting at each level. Could be a Niederlechner type player as a best case scenario.

Seems like Ginczek will fill in the super sub role now for Stuttgart, backing up Gomez for scoring support.

Edit: Looks like Gomez got injured.

he scored a double while his team were down to 10 man but they still lost 4-3.

    takes his numbers to
7 goals and 4 assists in 17 games.

He's now in the top 25 of the scoring charts but interestingly enough he's played the lowest number of games from the top 25. Plenty of players have 25-27 games played. Fast approaching the top 10 who are at the 10+ goals threshold.

Terodde is looking like a great signing for Koln, scores again to give his side the 1-0 lead.
2 caps for Koln, 2 goals.

also his 4th 1BL goal of the season.

and Terodde scores his 3rd goal in 2 games for new club Koln, to give them the 2-0 lead. His 5th of the season.

honestly Hamburg looked sooooo much better when Arp was in the XI, Hahn, Wood are just not good enough. Shame that he's been out with a flu for the last 2 games.

Dani Schahin scored in the 88th minute for his 5th goal of the season to give Roda the important 1 pts.

I think Wolfsburg should promote Jesaja Herrmann to 1st team asap. Dimata will be suspended and Osimhen is a flop

Hoffenheim should play David Otto too... Szalai is so limited

both Schmidt and Jonker are incompetent. Osimhen shouldn't even be in the squad and he always gets playing time. Origi seems to be struggling without Gomez too. Dimata isn't that good either. Although wouldn't be surprised if he goes for Blaz Kramer from the reserves. Wolfsburg will struggle in the 2nd half with this attack they have and could be at risk of relegation battle yet again.

as for Hoff, Uth should have started that game, not sure why he was on the bench. But agree that Otto should be given chances especially since Uth will be gone soon. And Szalai isn't a great starter.

I even think Janni Serra deserves some chance in Dortmund too

Dortmund seem to prefer Isak though, so not sure Serra will get a chance.

in other Eredivisie news, Thy provided his 5th league assist of the season in a 1-1 draw.

have to say last season, I found Fullkrug's numbers to be very low in 2BL, although still thought he had promise.

    2016-2017 season, 2BL, 5 goals and 3 assists in 27 games playing 1196 minutes
    2017-2018 season, 1BL, 9 goals and 2 assists in 19 games playing 1117 minutes

didn't have a great start in 1BL this season that's for sure. He then started to impress off the bench, then add some injuries all which allowed him to start games and from there he sealed his starting spot, now top scorer of his team. Ahead of Harnik who did a lot better last season and who had a better start over Fullkrug. It's even more impressive since 1BL is obviously a higher level than 2BL.

if Fullkrug and Selke can keep scoring and have constancy they could be contenders post WC.

    we could have
Werner, Selke, Fullkrug, Uth, Volland as main contenders, while Wagner/Stindl are also still options even if they will both be 30 and over.

It'll be interesting to see how others like Arp, Höler, Kleindienst, Teuchert, Ducksch, Platte, and Putaro develop in another 2 years. So the pool of eligible candidates will likely expand for 2020. Probably moreso for 2022. There's other youngsters of course, but just trying to gage who has shown more signs of emergence so far on the pro level.

It's a big if, but if Ginczek is able to put together a healthy campaign and become a solid scorer then I wouldn't rule him out either. Especially with how Wagner didn't really become relevant until his late 20's.

Last chance for Hofmann to get himself back on track for at least a decent career? I don't really rate him, but sitting out all that wasted time in England didn't help. He was a regular scoring contributor during his youth NT days though. Could be like a poor-man's Alex Meier if he gets his act together (trying to be optimistic lol). Maybe a fresh start is what he needs. He should get his chances at Braunschweig.

Marvin Ducksch assisted Holstein Kiel's opening goal vs Union Berlin. They're currently up 2-1 at HT.

besides potentially buying Onel Hernandez seems like Norwich are interested in another German.

Dennis Srbeny is in talks with Norwich...
    http://readnorwich.com/2018/01/24/norwich-make-offer-for-srbeny/

wow weird transfer, play in Championship this season where you can still get promotion or try again promotion next year. Or play 3rd division Germany this season and 2BL next season.
