What is going on with the defender rumours? Do they not believe in Trusty/Yaro/Marquez for the other spot? Najem isn't the answer at CAM. Why isn't that the focus?

 

Best I can tell is that he's 20, still plays in Cameroon, played a couple games for Union Douala, and if you type "Olivier Mb" into your google bar he's the second thing that pops up.

 

He's a "defender". Anyone know what flavor of defender? If he's a left back, that changes my degree of give a damn.

Nothing...he's 20 and plays for Union Douala in Cameroon and has only played for the U20s so he wouldn't be on the national team in FIFA. A Wikipedia article on him in French makes it sound like he's a center back but I haven't found his height anywhere, and another site is claiming he's a fullback

The #2 pick and #4 pick were both traded for 200k in allocation money. Honestly wish we'd have traded up. That seems pretty cheap, especially if you're getting a GA player.

 

He was the most MLS ready player in that year's draft and arguably one of the best players in college soccer that year

So it sounds like we have six CBs on the roster now for folks keeping track at home. I hope they roll out a six-man back line with a sweeper in front just to piss off teams like Atlanta and Toronto.
