For every NFL fan who decides not to go to a game due to bad weather there'll be a dozen or more willing to buy his or her ticket. I doubt that's the case for say, Union vs. the Impact.
By the way, check out this tweet from the MLS training grounds in.....Atlanta. Meanwhile, it was 9 degrees in Nashville last night. So, it's not just the northern cities we'd have to worry about with a winter schedule. Time to lace up.... the skates 😏❄️ pic.twitter.com/lYqgvFrINr— Atlanta United FC (@ATLUTD) January 17, 2018
Hey, give us a bunch of home games during the winter we'll make the playoffs for sure! Because it worked so well last year against Atlanta United...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4886382/Welcome-Los-Angeles-FC-club-big-plans.html A street that leads to the Coliseum, the Science Center (housing the Space Shuttle) and is a pretty major street in its own right is a "dead-end street". British journalism at its best.
Really? I don't think its particularly great on its own. The location is fantastic obviously. To me it looks like a stadium in the Rio Tinto, Bridgeview mold. I'd say that RBA and Orlando have nicer looking stadiums off the top of my head.
It all depends on how that transparent roof looks in real life. It could look really really nice or really really cheap. For me, the luxury features the stadium has (and the money that will be made through them) set this place apart. And did they ever tell us what that building connected to it is?
Was that the Peter Jackson one? I missed that one. Oh yeah, when Marco Urena knocked us out of the World Cup. I saw that one. Ridiculous.
The Bundesliga is also cutting their winter break shorter this season due to the World Cup. They normally don't start back up until February.
Just talking about the stadium itself, I'd say maybe KC, among my experiences. And also Orlando from what people say and what I see on tv. But no question LAFC are starting off very high on the list of best SSS.
Lot of subjective factors when it comes to ranking, but it seems like LAFC is getting a higher quality finish with lots of bells and whistles. I thought Orlando was done quite cheaply/ no frills, right? I'd still say RBA is the best I've been in, but KC seems like it's up there. Rio Tinto feels substantial for it's generation/type. Compare Stub Hub, Toronto and Avaya with the aforementioned and these things come in different flavors now. I just always pray they respect the field itself.
To me RBA is the nicest and coolest MLS stadium by far and still ahead of lafc. Its all opinions though.
Well we would be under the FIFA calendar. Yeah I know it wouldn't work or nor do I see us doing it, just saying.
