Getting PUBG this weekend. yes I have been playing the GTA Heist, we are having a lot of fun with it. it is a free DLC, however in order to start the Heist you need a Lair, and the cheapest one is $1.2 mil, without any of the upgrades. So of course you can grind to make the money or buy a $20.. shark card to get it started.
Any good recent games you guys would recommend to me? I'm a PC gamer and the last thing I played was "Wolfenstein: The New Colossus", which I enjoyed. I don't care if it's a AAA title or an indie game, as long as it's enjoyable.
Cuphead? Challenging but fun. I think you would need a controller to play it. Getting Over It? Like the Trials bike game but you are a dude in a cauldron who uses a sledgehammer to move. All movement is based solely on moving the mouse to swing the sledgehammer. PlayerUnknown's Battleground. Leaves Early access on PC today/ third person shooter. Ya probably have seen the movie Battle Royale, that is what this game is. It's competitive online game, so turn off voice chat. Only two maps but no round plays out the same. those are the one's I've at least played enough to recommend. Of course there has been plenty of praise for the new Wolfenstein and AssCreed games.
It's a really good game with friends. Much better than the COD bollocks. I played it on first release and had tons of fun...I went back six months later and everybody was just so much better it made it difficult for me to enjoy it.
So being current as I usually am with games, I just got started on "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". I'm only a few hours in but I am really liking it. I played the first two games and whilst I liked both of them, I finished neither. I think I enjoy the gameplay more this time around. Though I have read that purist hated the more simplified system. But I love the vast, open world.
anyone playing the new Monster Hunter? never played the series but this one looks amazing.. been watching several streams of Sea of Thieves beta, game looks like it'll be a lot of fun.
I'm considering Monster Hunter (never played a previous MH game), as the graphics look decent and the review scores are all pretty good. The only thing putting me off, is I get the feeling that Monster fights can be a real slog and I'm not sure I have the patience (anymore) to fight a monster for 25 mins...only to die and have to start again.
Oh shoot. I should come in here more often. I love that game, haven't played since the early days of season two. Seriously hands down the best fps this generation. Ya need a wingman and if it isn't PUBG time, I'm your huckleberry. Didn't pick up extra memory yet but did buy a pro-controller. So far haven't even touched the pro-controller, if I am playing with the Switch docked I like that controller kit that comes with the console where you just slide the joycons in to. Monster Hunter looks cool but it reminds me too much of Lost Planet and their long drawn out boss battles. *scrolls back up* Oh hey I have the same concern as @Karloski. *high five* Definitely gonna give Sea of Thieves a go. Thinking about going the game pass route when it is released.
Microsoft looking to buy EA... https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/xbox-trouble-microsoft-considering-major-161351008.html
It is insane how much traction Polygon's speculative article is getting around the internet. I didn't read anything really in the original article to make me believe it wasn't nothing more but some one in the know commenting on the darts being thrown at the wall by MS employees.
Sea of Thieves has got my attention. I think my level of enjoyment might be directly factored by the group I'm with, however. It doesn't look like a game you can solo. And at this point the 'always online so other people can screw with you' "feature" has gotten tiresome for me, so I haven't decided if it's a purchase yet. Ok, that would be insane. A huge get for Microsoft. All of a sudden Madden is only on XBox? FIFA? Battlefield? Any Star Wars games? It would be a game-changer. But enough for Microsoft to recoup the cost of purchasing EA? I don't know. Their sales would go down with the loss of sales on the PlayStation. And I don't think Sony would take that lying down. I could see them responding with a purchase of someone like Activision, and now Call of Duty is a platform exclusive. Now Valve...that I could see happening. The amount of money Valve makes on Steam alone is insane. And Microsoft would have no issues hurrying production and releasing Half-Life 3 and Portal 3. Sure they'd be the worst games in the series by far, but they'd also make a ton of money.
If Microsoft did buy EA most major titles wouldn't be console exclusive for the sole purpose of license agreement. I believe both FIFA and Madden have agreements that require them to be on as many platforms as possible and I wouldn't doubt if Star Wars has the same. So it would be something similar to the acquisition of Mojang and Minecraft. Though I wouldn't doubt MS would look to incorporate cross-platform with the sports titles with those platforms that are willing to participate like Minecraft. The major benefit MS would have with buying EA would be to better sweeten their attempt at becoming the Netflix of gaming. Adding major sports titles like Madden and FIFA to Game Pass would be a great move.
I can't speak for FIFA or Star Wars, but I thought the NFL exclusivity was that EA was the only company that can make a NFL game across platforms (I think first-party games are still ok, so Microsoft could still make NFL Fever if they wanted), not that they were required to do so. Though you make an interesting point with Minecraft. They could decide it's in their best interests to continue releasing Madden games on the PS4. The worst case scenario would have Sony creating their own NFL game (they already make the best MLB game) and having it be better than Madden.
It would t be hard to make a football game better than FIFA It is the worst incarnation I have played in years Same with 2k
Red Dead 2 delayed until October... https://www.gamespot.com/articles/red-dead-redemption-2-delayed-new-release-date-con/1100-6456498/
Do you hear that? That is the sound of all other publishers screaming out in terror. Red Dead dropping in Oct could upend every other publishers sales expectations for this coming holiday season.
Bummer but it wouldn't be a Rockstar Game without a ton of delays. What are the big games in the spring to summer window? Far Cry and Detroit: Become Human are all that are coming to mind and I wouldn't be surprised if the latter sees a delay too
