Wonder if we have a benefit from not playing while heerenveen has a match in their legs.

The line up against Heerenveen will be with Nicolai Jorgensen. So it will be interesting to see how CD talent Kik Pierie deals with him. Nico recouvered from illness.
He would have beeb on the bench against Utrecht, but due to the postponement of the game, his illness had no adverse effects on the result.
Nieuwkoop is out with a hamstring complaint (sigh, another defender in the sick bay) and will be replaced by St Juste.
Defender Nelom is out too with an upper thigh injury. 18 year old Tyrell Malacia will make his Eredivisie debut, after already making a CL debut with the first team against Napoli.

Nicolai Jørgensen staat morgenavond in de Kuip tegen Heerenveen weer in de spits bij Feyenoord. De Deen, de laatste weken opvallend vaak op schot voor de Rotterdammers, had de wedstrijd tegen FC Utrecht nog moeten missen wegens ziekte.

Zijn plek op de bank bleef in de Galgenwaard echter zonder gevolgen omdat het duel werd geannuleerd.

Bart Nieuwkoop trainde gisteren weer buiten, maar de rechtsback met hamstringklachten komt zeker niet in actie tegen de Friezen. Dat biedt weer mogelijkheden voor Jeremiah St. Juste, die tegen Napoli inviel als flankverdediger. De aankoop van Heerenveen had in Utrecht ook als rechtsback gespeeld.
Miquel Nelom ontbreekt wederom door een bovenbeenblessure. De jonge Tyrell Malacia maakt tegen Heerenveen zijn debuut in de eredivisie.

The only club that is working on a longer unbeaten run in De Kuip is Ajax (W3-G3-V0). The final defeat of sc Heerenveen against Feyenoord in De Kuip dates from 16 March 2014. Ruud Vormer and Lex Immers then scored in a 2-0 victory for Feyenoord.

In the history sc Heerenveen twice beat Feyenoord in De Kuip. On May 1, 2005, the Frisians were 1-3 too strong and on January 28, 2016 sc Heerenveen got on the bus with a 1-2 victory towards Friesland.

sc Heerenveen once managed to keep the zero against Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. On 1 March 1994 it became 0-0.

Heerenveen's Real Madrid talent Odegaard is out with an ankle injury. It's a compensation for the ravaged back line of Feyenoord, as Odegaard this season, after his adaptation to real pro football, has shown why he's on the book of Real Madrid.

After the transfer of the other big CD talent Per Schuurs of Fortuna to Ajax, I donot expect Kik to move there too. So this match is a big opportunity to show clubs watching him how he deals with a dangerous striker like Jörgensen.
I expect that in the stands scouts from many top clubs are present as alot of young defensive talent is on show tonight. But Feyenoord and PSV will be particularly watching.
PSV especially, with for Eredivisie acceptable but not outstanding CD's, must be interested to fill in with Kik Pierie alongside their own big CD talent Obispu.
Feyenoord has learned the hard way you need quality back up and the last season's reliable CD's we have are getting older. So we too will look with big interest.
Regarding his USA or Orange choice, he still has alot of time, given the quality now in the CD spots available with an age and top club head start. But in his own age group there is already quite a number of prospects playing at high level leagues first teams. So competition is big for a coveted Orange spot.

 

He's very good. He's in the same class as de Ligt, Per Schuurs (youngest Captain at 17, just bought by Ajax), Obispo.
Per Schuurs is bought by Ajax to fill in the hole that the probable transfer of de Ligt to Barcelona is going to create.

We've got an overload of high profile players for the 2 CD spots at the moment. These kids are 17-18 years old, but we have in the 20 year range also top contenders for those spots and\only 2 can play. So with Kik having an escape route via the USA, you better burn candles the others perform so well, Kik is forced to open another door

PSV heeft met het tot medio 2021 vastleggen van Armando Obispo niet alleen enkele internationale topclubs afgetroefd. Ook Ajax had grote interesse in het talent.

 

Sorry for Freisland, but if Kik doesnot want to move abroad yet, Feyenoord is the only place left, after both PSV and Ajax landed their CD talents.
