None of that non-sense, we are sticking with Biglia and another midfielder that does the same as Biglia. As we have seen, it provides so much depth and assistance to our forwards, we simply cannot abandoned this savant of a midfielder. He will surely lead us to victory.

On a more serious note. As I have stated before, Mudo Vazquez connected beautifully with Dybala when they were together at Palermo. They were as dynamic of a duo as I can recall. I wouldn't mind him being called up, even if he is being used as a sub. Shoot, I'd be excited if we brought in Mudo and Dybala as subs in a match.

But honestly, I am not that hopeful. Sampa had Mudo with Sevilla and if he hasn't called up yet, I am not sure if he will. But who knows, he has pulled rabbits out of his hats before.

And I also hear that Banega played fantastic tonight. This is Banega though, one great game and we all get excited and hopeful then he is awfully in so many more games after that. He is basically Di Maria with his consistency level, minus getting injured every other game. Pizarro has a chance, he has been called-up by Sampa, so he may get a re-call if he continues this level of play.

Anybody but Biglia in the midfield. I cannot take it any more.

It is odd that Vasquez has not been called up given his former partnership with Dybala.

Icardi scored another fantastic predatory header against Atalanta. Asascibar needs calling up ASAP.

Another player who has the same level of confidence, maturity and that comfort on the ball that sets apart the best players from the rest is Juan Foyth.

He is superbly composed, a great passer which makes me wonder if he could become a defensive midfielder but still physically immature against bigger opponents. Spurs is a great club for him to develop at. Pochettino is a compatriot, a former defender and has a great track record at developing young players (unfortunately see the way Kane, Winks etc etc are developing).

Foyth has played already in the League Cup and his performances and in training earned him a spot on the bench against Dortmund in the CL. I have high hopes for the kid a la Pezzella at the same age. Contrast this to Tiago Casasola wandering around at an older age in Serie C.

Best wishes to Berizzo as well. A coach of enormous promise who has cancer.

That really is sad news about Berizzo. I wish the man a speedy recovery.

On some sporting news for Sevilla. It seems that Pastore might be on his way to the Andalusian city to play for Sevilla. Even though he said he’d rather be in Italy, Sevilla is rumored in capturing Flaco’s signature.Would that mean Mudo will be leaving since they play in similar roles? Perhaps, since he has been linked to a move as well. And I think he’d go for pretty cheap and would be a bargain for any Italian or Spanish side, even if it’s on loan. Juventus should be on high alert since their midfield lacks a bit of creativity( I haven’t seen much of that coming from Pjanic, Bernardeschi and Bentancur) but I think he’d want to a side where he can play game in and game out.

I’ve been watching the first 45 of the FCB game. Just some notes. Messi is getting a break, which is great. But I expect he’ll be on in the second half.

Juventus are absolutely terrible and have ZERO creativity from the midfield. Dybala is the only one that has done anything half decent. Some nice runs, passes and the only spark on that side. No wonder he’s been hinting at a move. He basically has to do everything. Allegri once again showing that he is a heartless manager that has no insipiration. I can only imagine how much better Dybala be with a proper midfield supplying him balls.

Playing with Higuain, I really can’t blame Dybala for wanting to leave. Higuain is fundementally weak when it comes to teamplay.

Dybala is the best player on both teams but hasn’t had enough help to win the match.

What is significant is that he was playing mostly on the right wing and could’nt be contained by Barca’s backline. I wonder if Sampaoli is watching because this could work in the NT. Maybe in a 4-3-1-2 he can have Dybala as a wide ST or RW and Messi at OMF with Di Maria playing LCM and moving into an LM position.

Dybala nearly won the game in the 90th+ minute but a fantastic save denied Juve the victory. He struck it so perfectly and was on about to run and celebrate.

Dybala needs to get out of Juventus ASAP. That team is just awful to watch. No creativity, no nothing. All they want to do is defend. Or at least bring in an offensive minded manager.

And let me add to that. I’ve been LOLing at Juventus for going after Fatso instead of Icardi a couple seasons back. But now, I’m glad that Icardi stayed and has a team that can get him the ball now.

I respect Juve’s management from building a team from scratch but at some point they’ll need to realize that they’re no longer building a team and they’re at the point of European contention. It seems like they still believe that they’re slowly building towards winning Serie A but they’re way beyond that.

Dybala had an outstanding game. Heck even played better than Messi.

Sampaoli has to stop running away from the responsibility of making those two play together.

What did Dybala do? I thought it was fairly standard performance. Messi put Digne 1on1 in 10 minutes after coming on.

He forced a great save from Ter Stegen at the end of the game. It was a very cagey match so it was difficult to create much, but he played well.

This game was essentially Douglas Costa, Dybala and 9 statues against Barcelona.

Allegri is just a huge coward. When he was playing like this as Milan, people used our poor players as an excuse to why he couldn't play any coherent attacking football. Now he is at Juventus and has a quality team, yet he still plays atrocious football.

Allegri is so clueless that he might actually stagnate Dybala's development. If Paulo wants to reach his full potential he should go to a team that actually wants to do more than just defend with 11 men behind the ball.

As a Juventino, I'm starting to get disillusioned by Allegri's tactics. His preference of Khedira and Mandzukic is hard to understand & even justify anymore. Dybala played well at the start of the season when we had Matuidi who is more mobile and more willing to carry the ball towards the attacking players, as a result, Dybala played closer to goal.
In an ideal setting, you surround Dybala and Pjanic with Costa, Bernadeschi, Matuidi & Higuain. Allegri however insists on Mandzukic, Cuadrado and Khedira

Yeah I saw that, but that's why I asked what did he do, when the shot was actually saved.

Inch perfect 40m pass for a running target, beating whole Juventus team, or 4 banks of defenders. And what can you read in the modern media? How many goals someone scored against some random lilliputs.

That was a splendid pass. To be honest, Dybala is my second favorite player...but I don't think he had a great match. He played generally well, though -- especially in such a choppy match. It was hard to see.

Dybala had a great run and shot towards the end of first half, though...and some delicious bits of skill in the middle of the park.

Just surprised that Juve played so defensive.

    That's Allegri for you

I agree with Dani Alves when he said that Dybala will have to leave Juventus to fulfill his great potential.

I don't think anybody is saying he had a great game but seeing that spineless squad Allegri put out there, Dybala played better than anybody on Juventus.

Dybala came out after the match saying that they need to be more offensive and play the ball. The telltale signs are coming to the surface that Dybala is fed up.

So, appears that Sampaoli will be at the clásico de Avellaneda and he'll be watching Lautaro Martínez. With Benedetto out, a spot has opened up for somebody.

On a related topic, I wonder if Samapoli is monitoring Chucky? He had two more goals today for Shakhtar Donetsk. He has 16 goals in all competitions so far. 12 in the league, 2 in the league cup and 2 more in the CL.

And finally, staying on topic with our forwards, here is a good article on Icardi.

Slowly but surely Mauro Icardi starting to get global recognition he deserves

Two more goals for Icardi. Great movement on and off the ball, fights for every ball and is at the right place at the right time.
