They can just train on the pier with the kids, ir just buy the pier and make it there training home and let everyone play on it
SUNY Purchase sounds like a good option. Several undeveloped fields on the south part of that campus.
Apparently they are building at SUNY Purchase: https://mobile.twitter.com/search/gallery?q=Suny purchase&s=typd&idx=0&tid=517789889069580289
Article on the training facility. Much more temporary than the Manhattanville plan. 2.5 year lease and then all of it reverts to SUNY Purchase. They are converting their old baseball field into training pitches and some buildings. I have refereed a few tournaments there and it should be really nice. It is also literally five minutes from my house so I will be visiting a few trainings next year. http://www.empireofsoccer.com/purchase-training-grounds-29275/
Apparently the report that they bought it was premature. They are still negotiating. Still it's another training facility, great but nothing compared to searching for a new stadium.
well I guess that it's interesting the town board approved the sale before they closed on the transaction... http://www.rocklandtimes.com/2016/03/29/orangetown-o-k-s-soccer-complex/
sounds like maybe some final paperwork and then shovels can hit the ground: Public review of the proposed NYC Football Club Site has been completed. Zoning board has approved and no further meetings are scheduled. Regards, Victoria Caramante Executive Assistant to Orangetown Supervisor Andrew Stewart 26 Orangeburg Road Orangeburg, NY 10962
