Out of pure pity I'm a Crew fan for the playoffs this year. But of course I live in Austin, so I'm conflicted on that whole thing.
A couple of thoughts from the wild card round... - I don't think we deserved to make the playoffs and what happened to San Jose is exactly why I was kind of glad we got to end the season on the correct end of a 5 goal scoring bonanza. - What the hell happened to the Fire? - So happy that Columbus held out through an insane match that could've gone either way and kept their cool during the shootout. Their fans deserve it after all the horseshit their dickhead owner has put them through these last few weeks. Also, Atlanta's born on 3rd fans needed a little heartache. I was going to be sick if they somehow cruised to an unlikely MLS Cup win. - I hate Houston and I will never hope they win a coin flip, much less a soccer match. However, I wasn't too upset that they beat the "Capital of Soccer in the USA" in OT last night. Kansas City has had a stellar defense but I'm still salty about that horrible Open Cup quarterfinal and it's always fun to watch Vermes have an aneurysm on the sideline.

I'm sick of the Toronto love fest too but I'll happily take them as champion over either of the scum left in our conference. Hopefully Columbus can keep the fairy tale to the end.
Toronto has been the best team in MLS in 2017, and I'd like to see them win for no other reason than that. That being said, the Columbus story is getting more interesting by the day as they keep winning. I cheered for Atlanta and NYCFC against them, and they didn't seem to care. Haha I'll pick Seattle over Houston any day of the week.
I'll happily root for either Toronto or Columbus over the shitheads left in the Western Conference playoffs.
Orlando's declined options have been announced, and sirens should go off. Dillon Powers would be a nice addition to our midfield rotation............ Toronto has Bradley and Altidore who strolled around in the last game and took something dear away from me for four years. I want this taken away from them as they seem to be putting much more personal effort into this.
I wanted FC Dallas to draft Dillon Powers, but the team selected Walker Zimmerman. Obviously, that worked out pretty well. I'll happily take Dillon Powers right now though! He's a local kid with a pretty good amount of talent and still plenty of good years left in the tank. In the right system, he'd be a great signing.
And of course Dillon played very well under Pareja in Colorado if my memory serves me correctly. Rookie of the Year.......................

Yeah, huge WTF moments for MLS with their playoff scheduling this year. I can only speculate this was based on TV coverage but weekend games never stopped them from getting covered in years past.
the league has revealed four finalists for the first two expansion spots, which will be announced before the end of the year: Cincinnati Detroit Nashville Sacramento The finalists will make presentations to the league's Expansion Committee and Commissioner Don Garber on Dec. 6, and the MLS Board of Governors meeting on Dec. 14 will include additional discussions on expansion with ownership representatives from every team.
