On Sunday November 26, there are first place vs. second place games in Spain and France at the same time. The English channel is showing Monaco vs. Paris Saint-Germain at 3:00 P.M. and Valencia vs. Barcelona delayed at 6:00 P.M.
Yes it was, if you know what you're doing. And what part of "No Spoilers - Do not post results without an (R)" is unclear here? It's one of three posted stickies at the top of the forum and has been this forum's policy for at least the better part of a decade now. It isn't "No spoilers, it wasn't on TV so it wasn't possible to watch the game later". And finally why was it so compelling to point out that an announcer whom by consensus is pretty awful got the result right, but the scoreline wrong? Was there some kind of massive over/under betting going on with this match or something? Otherwise, who cares? I mean I know I'm going to be occasionally spoiled on here despite the rules but it's usually in the context of something newsworthy or significant, not something as utterly trivial as this.
beINSport-CONNECT often uses global feeds, stadium feeds (no commentator) and non-english/non-spanish feeds. Right now as I write, the France vs Sweden Women's Int'l match is stadium sound on Audio 1 ("en") channel. It was suppose to be French commentary on the Audio 2 ("es") but its just muffled. 2 matches this week from Ligue-1 will be "Stadium Sound" (audio:1) and "French commentary" (audio 2): Tuesday: Amiens vs Dijon (beINSport-3) Wednesday: Guingamp vs Montpellier (beINSports-4) SA www.soccertvblog.com
BeIN Sports will have games and shows about Real Madrid and Barcelona from 10:00 P.M. Friday to 12:00 A.M. Saturday and 1:00 A.M. to 12:20 P.M. Their game coverage starts at 6:40 A.M., which is 20 minutes before the game instead of 5. What's ridiculous is that after the game and The Express Postgame, they're replaying it for more than 2 hours from 10:00 A.M. to 12:20 P.M. and joining AC Milan vs. Atalanta 20 minutes in.
God forbid they promote and celebrate a match that features two of the best teams of the decade, two of the best players of our generation, many stars and super stars, and two prestigious Clubs that probably bring in their best ratings every single year. How silly of them.
They can promote the game without making a 2 hour 20 minute replay and joining another game in progress.
Slow day at the office today with the snowstorm pounding the east coast. Thought I'd stream some of the Celta-Barca cup match. I like how the commercials stream no problem. Great picture quality and everything. The video then goes totally dead when the commercials are over! Its 2018 and BeIN's streaming channels don't work even a bit! They've gone backwards in the last 3 years from what I can tell!
To be fair I had the same problem on NBCsports.com not long ago. Ads streamed beautifully but the match was far from that. Maybe there some technical exclamation like the ads are more compressed/optimized so they are less taxing?
Over the holiday-period I watched big derbies from 3 different competitions handled by 3 different networks. It was interesting to observe the differences just before each match: Premier League (NBC): Players seen coming out of the tunnel / panelists shut-up so viewers can soak up the stadium atmosphere. FA Cup – Merseyside derby (FOX) – Players shown coming out of tunnel / singing of YNWA shown but Lalas and Co. blab over it. You’d think the 30-minute pregame show would’ve been enough time for them to enjoy hearing their own voices, but then again at least they had a 30-minute pregame show. Last and least … La Liga – Seville derby (BeIN) – Commercials shown as players come out, presumably to an amazing atmosphere at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium. Should we even be surprised at this point?
To be fair, on FS2Go, on the international feed, Martin Tyler and Stuart Robson also talked over it. They were showing the lineups during its playing.
Fair point. Guess they don't have any control over the picture and it would look a bit silly not saying anything when the lineups pop-up on the screen (even if they had already talked about the lineups for the previous 20 minutes).
Bein at it again. This time they say that Inter/Roma is on channel 4, and channel 4 gives us the purple no event screen. I tried the other channels, and I'm not seeing it. It makes perfect sense, though, because Barcelona/Tomato Can is on THREE channels.
