Except the whole league was saved by our little stadium.

It's nice to see all that Crew Goodwill about to go up in flames. It will keep my diabetic feet warm

Seriously, though, I really hope the Crew stay in Columbus. What Precourt and that weaselly jagoff Dave Greeley are doing is despicable.

That being said, there are other threads on this topic back to

Why has Trump cause so many Republicans to change their minds on issues like free trade, or Putin?

    https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/11/17/16585982/psychology-memory-polls-trump

"It’s easy to look at these changing poll numbers and see something blatantly hypocritical — that these Americans are knowingly giving in to Trump rhetoric praising Putin and belittling free trade, betraying their former ideals.

But new research from psychology suggests something else is probably going on: Many political beliefs are fickle, and people probably don’t realize it when they change their minds."

Presumably this is most common among low information voters (very broadly defined.)

Well, that gets to an old argument of mine -- when push comes to shove, Republicans don't have many true beliefs. The "establishment" does, but actual GOP voters pretty much go with the culture wars, and aren't terribly concerned with those other things.

Michael Gerson: “I spent part of my convalescence from a recent illness reading some of the comprehensive timelines of the Russia investigation… In all of this, there is a spectacular accumulation of lies. Lies on disclosure forms. Lies at confirmation hearings. Lies on Twitter. Lies in the White House briefing room. Lies to the FBI. Self-protective lies by the attorney general. Blocking and tackling lies by Vice President Pence. This is, with a few exceptions, a group of people for whom truth, political honor, ethics and integrity mean nothing.”

“What are the implications? President Trump and others in his administration are about to be hit by a legal tidal wave. We look at the Russia scandal and see lies. A skilled prosecutor sees leverage. People caught in criminal violations make more cooperative witnesses. Robert S. Mueller III and his A-team of investigators have plenty of stupidity and venality to work with. They are investigating an administration riven by internal hatreds — also the prosecutor’s friend. And Trump has already alienated many potential allies in a public contest between himself and Mueller. A number of elected Republicans, particularly in the Senate, would watch this showdown with popcorn.”

“But the implications of all this are not only legal and political. We are witnessing what happens when right-wing politics becomes untethered from morality and religion.”

Has Ignored Content been on this thread lately? Because Gerson is a lifelong Republican, and conventionally conservative in the typical American way.

For Trump supporters, RINOs are libtards. Same thing to them. Ronnie was a libtard (only they didn't know it at the time).

History son. Check how stable the league was when Lamar decided to build CCS and give the league credibility.

You know Precourt is a Trump supporter, right? Donated $20,000 to his campaign.
Let all the BigSoccer hate start to flow!

Ok, I'm done. Sorry for the interruption.

Oh, I know the history of 1999. It was in the era when the Fire were actually a dominate team (three MLS Cup finals between 1998-2003, three US Open Cup trophies, etc.).

However, if you think the Crew opening the first SSS "saved" the league, well, you might be drinking a bit too much yellow kool-aid.

But, whatever, at least we all agree that Precourt and that weaselly jagoff Greeley are asshats.

Is it an auto correct or predictive word thing, or what? I often see "dominate" used when it should be "dominant". I thought maybe I missed something and "dominant" had become archaic.

Nooooo! Tell me it isn't true. Even though the same people will vote for him again. Or does anybody care any more?

Donald Trump says something that isn't true 5.5 times a day. Every day.
Washington (CNN)Alternative facts. Lies. Distortions. Exaggerations. Misstatements. Half truths.

Call it what you want, but there's one indisputable fact: Donald Trump does a stunning amount of it.
According to a count maintained by The Washington Post's Fact Checker and updated Tuesday morning, Trump has now made 1,628 false or
misleading claims in his 298 days in office. That's an average of 5.5 a day. Five and a half misleading or outright false statements for each day -- including weekends! -- that Trump has been president.
By the Fact-Checker's estimates, Trump -- if he keeps up his current pace -- will blow past 2,000 misstatements and/or untruths in his first year in office

Yep, it was auto correct on my phone and when I noticed it, it was too late to fix it.

    Dominate is a verb.

    Dominant is an adjective.

Apologies to those who were so deeply offended that comments were required.

    It's fake news.
You can't believe anything from CNN
They have a liberal bias against 45
CNN won't report real news like the horrible Al Franken
    They pushing the socialist agenda
And now they report what everybody already knows.
