I got some grief about this over on the Ajaxtalk board as well. Maybe I need to go have my eyes checked. Perhaps the wingers should be Kluivert and Neres from now on. I really like the way Neres is developing, he has a great eye for the field. Nothing much is going to change until there is a complete clean up of the current management structure.

Actually I was more surprised by the 6.5 for de Ligt, as he was acting so clumsey when the goal was scored by the guy behind him, that it looked more like an 18 year old in an amateur team than a listed top 10 youth by France Football. But it can be worse. For those who have watched the goal scored by Chelsea against ManUnited must have the biggest laugh at those claiming defending in the epl is far better than with the Eredivisie. The Chelsea bloke was all alone near the penalty spot (think the nearest MU wa about 6 meters away) while the ball was kicked into the box from the side. Probably it wasnot such a good idea to leave Blind out after all.

Ajax put a big hurt on NAC tonight. Hat trick from van de Beek and a brace by de Ligt led the scoring. Defense was a little sloppy but it didn't matter as Onana saved everything that was hit at him though most of them were very easy saves. Good to finally see a bunch of goals put up even though the NAC defense was quite shoddy. Don't know if that was really a correct penalty call when Frenkie de Jong went down in the box but Schöne left the keeper hung out to dry. I thought it was a strange double substitution when Huntelaar and Frenkie came on but it looked like Ajax were going to a 3-5-2 as de Jong stayed in the MF and the LB (Sinkgraven and then Wöber) moved up as a wingback with Veltman, de Ligt and Viergever manning the backline. I agree with you 100%. NAC were horrible on defense. How can Huntelaar be on the team of the week if he only played 30 minutes. His goal was OK but not exceptional and he didn't really do much else. Maybe no other striker had a good game. Sinkgraven was OK but team of the week????
It's worrying that such results are possible even when Ajax hasn't really played a stable game yet this season. Still the news media will be shouting halleluja again for a week or two.

The only one I trust with my ratings is me! Even then I usually have to watch all the games on an Internet stream and seldom get the opportunities to watch replays often enough to make some critical judgements.
I just watched the highlights of jong AZ - Jong Ajax. Why do you have that Cassiara guy still there? He doesnot seem to improve his play. Was another whopping. After a lead of 0-2, Jong Ajax was lucky the score stopped at 4-2.
They are not very good this season and it's surprising that they are in 2nd place. It is hard to tell about Casseria and whether he will make it or not. I guess he ultimately will battle with Serhuis (suspended for yesterday's match) for striker. Eiting is probably the only other player from this group that has a chance. There is far more talent at the u-19 level.
Bijleveld has lots of talent but only time will tell if he will develop into a class player. Getting enough playing time is key so a lot depends on how often and in what role Reiziger will use him. Haven't seen much of Serhius but it seems he has what it takes to become a good striker. Other than these two plus Eiting there isn't much to write home about.

Guys any comments on sam Hendriks. He seems to be doing good in ereeste divisie for Go Ahead eagles. He was also at jong ajax.any spotlight on him .
I think he played in one or two first team matches, maybe Beker games. He was just not good enough for the first team.
The kids led by a Kluivert hat trick pulled Ajax out of the first half funk and it ended with a comfortable 5-1. If the club can only find a way to come out at the beginning of matches we might all breathe a little easier. the lone Roda goal came on a free kick which traditionally seems to always be an adventure for the Ajax defense. Silly foul, followed by a weak clearance and finally a defender beaten in the air. There was some sloppy passing and some give aways but Roda were never likely to threaten from open play. Onana was ready to snuff out any shots on goal. Keizer's decision to take off Zeefuik and move to a 3-4-2 with Frenkie de Jong coming on at the half was the correct one.
