didn't he promise Timmay would play the last few games??? Another example why he couldn't be trusted???
I wonder if the club is going after our newly resigned manager, Frank de Boer. His brother stated that he is interested in either Everton or Valencia.
He's being talked about by Everton fans, along with a host of others....Jose Mourinho is one that some have speculated about - I'd just as soon avoid him, myself. Your tagline says FdB must go, why so? If Everton had that kind of success over the last several years, we'd be dancing every day.
He is tactically clueless and plays favorites with players. If you get on his bad side you are exiled to hell. His choice of captains has always been strange. His main tactical goal is to have lots of possession and that's about it. He doesn't seem to understand that if you don't have a quick handling midfield there is no way that you can create scoring opportunities. He won league titles in his first four years and finished second the past two. With everything to play for on the final match day and facing a team that is in the relegation zone that they had faced twice before this season (league and cup) the team laid a big egg. He kept one of his best players, Bazoer, on the bench for the whole match (imagine not playing Ross Barkley and you get the idea) and took off his striker when the team really needed a goal to win the match. I think Everton can do better.
Moyes again? No thank you. Been there, done that. We need to be more ambitious than someone who failed to win anything in 10+ years at Everton and who crashed and burned at Man U. I don't know the managerial pool well enough to suggest names. But we need to move forward, not backward.
A year later and he's gone. Deservedly so, as the team doesn't look like they know what they're trying to accomplish or have any confidence that they can succeed. Wonder who we can get now?
Washington State Legends of Soccer This morning brings sad news. Jimmy Gabriel – the original Mr. Sounder, our captain and later our coach – has died. He was 80. Jimmy's spirit, his teachings, his fire – they burn on. A legend at Everton, Southampton and Seattle. Our prayers and condolences to the Gabriel family.
