First up: AKA @joelrip 's Excellent Adventure Soooo, the above says 8:00 pm PT, while the club's website says 7:00 PM. I guess it's 8:00 pm MT, 7:00 pm PT. They don't make these mistakes in MLS. If only we can get them into a penalty-kick shootout and somehow Newton comes up big.
I like the scoreline so far. I don't like the commentators, who are the most ridiculous homers I've seen in a long long time. Two-footed, studs-up tackle by a Monarchs player: "I'm not sure there was anything there."
Damn, son. Got any other successful predictions you'd like to lay on us? Perhaps some SuperLotto numbers?
I jumped up and down and ran around the room. It's been so long since I've had any genuinely good soccer news. Damn that felt good. Onward!
Well. I'll be damned. I know I said we'd have to get to penalties and have Newton come up big but I didn't think he'd do it!
