It won't be an attractive game. T&T will play direct and that is a good idea considering how the field will get chewed up. US should consider same. Pretty passing will most likely be difficult. Main thing is to not gift anything to T&T.

 

This. It would take an Act of God to dry out that much turf in a day. The standing water is gone, and that's a massive improvement, but the field will be a muddy pit.

Kind of why I'd be good with Pulisic coming off the bench if needed, and starting Dempsey up front with either Altidore or Wood.

Dempsey has old man game, which along with being the dirtiest kind of game, is also the kind of game best suited to a mess on a mud track.

We could easily lose 1-0. Poor pitch. Fluke goal. Gonzo/Zusi mistake. MB poor pass. T&T looked pretty dangerous here for the first 20-30 minutes or so. Not having Jones hurts them.

T&T were up 1-0 at Mexico until around the 76th minute or so. Beautiful route 1 goal.
