Probably Lukaku won't play ... instead it will be one of Mertens, Origi or Batsman ... sounds like Mertens is the least likely. Jordan Lukaku is yet another injured player but Kabasele has been called up ... a bit late, he should have received a call-up anyway. Fellaini is expected to join tomorrow's group training ... he and Lukaku have missed the first 3 group training sessions and Lukaku will continue with individual sessions.

What is the general sentiment of Belgian fans? Do you guys want the players to be rested to avoid injury or do you want Martinez to play all the regulars?

I think Bosnia is screwed either way as you have a deep team and whoever comes in instead of a "star" is playing for a place on the roster for the WC. Meanwhile our team is drawing inspiration from a Cyprus team that beat us last round...

Halilhodžić is starting to piss me off....

Just come and coach us you cvnt. He states everything thats wrong with the FA etc. and all the reasons he didn't want to coach us, but why not join and try and make a difference instead of moaning. FFS he has power most of us in this forum have no chance to make a positive change in the repka he actually does, but doesn't want to use it.

Martinez made life difficult for himself with his controversial choices ... Nainggolan's exclusion is baffling, especially when so many are ruled out (this has been dominating the news about the NT) ... if it's a bad game the floodgates will open ... there are those that have been calling for his head from the first game already (a friendly against a strong Spain side for which he only had a few training sessions to prepare after taking over from Wilmots) ... anything less than two wins in the upcoming break and they'll be in full voice.

Personally, I always want to win ... you don't instill a winning mentality by losing ... Martinez should definitely rest players that need it but not field an experimental XI ... with too many changes there's no way you can ingrain the system and create automatisms between players (in international football time is very limited to work on this, in order to go to Russia with a polished team it should still be a priority in the final WCQs). As far as top seed status is concerned, it might not be that big of an advantage ... pot 2 in the final draw could be just as strong yet Martinez stressed the aim is to secure top seed status (I'm guessing to give our players some extra incentive as we've already qualified while Bosnia will fight for qualification/must win) ... also, a win in Brussels against Cyprus is enough for us to claim top seed status in the Nations League (regarding seeding I'm not that bothered).

After Ciro pipped up - I was thinking to myself, I hope halilhodzic pipes up lol

You can't change anything until the Dayton accords go because that's how the FA is set up.

"National team [playing] in the temple/shrine of football [Grbavica stadium], that is to our [fan's] liking. If you [players] are aware on who's pitch you're stepping on then for the way to Russia a win is assured."

At least Ciro tried. He gave it his all and until Ciro came we were never closer to qualifying to a tournament. Under Ciro we played our best football, until Susic came along. You can even make a argument that Susic rode the success Ciro put into the team.

Of course that's what Susic did. But Halilhodzic had no desire to put up with the circus in there. I don't blame him and encourage him to use his status to call out the FA on their shit from a distance because they have no way of retaliating.

How many of these apart from Pjanic would possibly make a starter? I assume Simunovic and Bicakcic?

Avdija had a outside chance of starting. Pjanic and Bicakcic would have def been starters. Simunovic maybe, and Prcic not a chance.

Vrsajevic would be starter at RB. Bicakcic probably starts at CB. Not sure abour Simunovic.

However most of our defenders are all around the same quality anyways, poor to below-average. Besides Kolasinac of course.

Our Bosnian coach is a backward, uneducated, stupid idiot he would demotivate a hungry wolf to attach a tied sheep and I blame only him for our team not playing well.

Wait don't we have Hajrović available? He's way better than Salihović and Medunjanin. Always plays well for us imo. He's not a bad idea at CAM or RW...
