I see that England must be feeling real confident about beating Slovenia and Lithuania next month and not having to go to a playoff, cause on Nov 15 they set up a game vs us in London!!

    The Paulinho effect:
    Barca undefeated
    7 points ahead of Madrid
More goals and assist than C. Ronaldo, Suarez and Benzema in La Liga.

@MerlinRM, do you take the threat of Pauligoat serious now?

The guys at the Barca board are oozing over his off the ball movement.

I can't believe @Guigs hasn't made us all eat crow.

A while back he said he doesn't need to as Paulinho is doing it for him.

Is it about how he is occuping space and cutting off the passing lanes or his offensive off the ball movement?

Actually on the offensive side. I haven't seen much defensively from him so far. Too early to tell and the competition has been weak.

I've already conceded we have no chance this year. Not with Lord Paulinho leading Barca to victory every week. And then he'll lead us to the hexa by scoring a hattrick in the final against Germany/Spain.

Alex Sandro coming in for him.

Tite might consider Jorginho:eek:. Could be a ploy by his agent to force Italy to call him but he would be a welcome addition.

While we at it, I like to see Allan, Fabinho and Malcom get chances as well.

I think Ederson will be our #1 by the time its time to go to Russia especially if MCFC have a good year.

Another name I think might be worth a look at is Malcom. He has been balling for Bordeaux. Seems to be a creative right wing forward.

This is a bit early, but...

If Brazil has a good World Cup (even if we don't win it); meaning, let's say we reach at least the quarterfinals and lose only by a very small margin against a team like Germany (or lose on PKs) not unlike 1986, with excellent futebol played in every match... would Tite merit a contract extension?

I know he will be exhausted and perhaps request a break, but there is no manager in Brazilian soccer who is as good as he is at the moment. And as the end of the World Cup will coincide with his mere 2-year anniversary as manager, shouldn't he get more time?

If he wins it all, CBF will want him beyond 2018. But if he doesn't - I would favor him staying on board if the team performs well in every match; after all, a team can play excellent futebol from start to finish and yet lose.
