ARobertson gets his crosses in - and they are typically good crosses...but they have been too early...with no-one on the other end anticipating the cross...timing is key...it'll happen if he continues to get games...
What's happened to his team? We've gone from creating multiple chances and scoring 2 - 3 goals a game to getting shut out...
No one that creates all those chances is out there... As always, the defense is the actual problem. Again. For probably... 8th season running?
So horrible. So typical. Now, like my local team, I'm having serious doubts about a manager I greatly respect. Damn.
Well...that was disappointing... We can't score...although at least Coutinho's shots were on frame in the first half... We can't defend...still And it appears other teams have figured out that "parking the bus" is a tactic that we can't figure out... "Well, at least we don't have this competition to distract us any longer."...says every manager of a top club that gets bounced early from the League Cup
I know ..... I prefer to say - it's early season and we were giving City some serious problems until the Mane incident and we totally outplayed a very good Sevilla side, and we don't have to waste any further time on this garbage comp... so now IF we win something it will be something to be proud of.
Our B side needs to play much better than that for many different reasons. I don't give two Fs about this competition but I do care about running into the same wall over and over with different guys.
True. However it fits the same narrative as against Sevilla and Burnley. Lots of good play and no goals for us, and they score 2 goals without creating many chances. Saturday is a big game. The negativity is really starting to build. It's time for the players to show some mental toughness, and stop making the same mistakes over and over.
I have come to a point with these coaches i dont care but if he is fired anytime i dont care either as after 3 years his defence should not be so shitty
Other than the toothless part we were pretty good in the first but it all went to sh*t in the second didn't it. I thought two players were key today , one going off and one coming on. We were never the same once Phil subbed off and Leicester looked much improved when Okozaki came on . Too bad cos the league cup offered playing time for some of these guys who now may find it much more difficult to get now . The positives Gomez ,Ward, Coutinho, Robertson. The negatives AO-C struggled especially in the second half. Hendo not at his best and Flanno got undressed a few times by Gray. Onward to the rematch on Saturday.
From memory at least 2 or 3 in the first half that were close enough to be considered chances (based on highlights shown at half time).
