This might be a biased answer. I have never experienced the hatred a Turk receives.. so i am most definitely saying Portugal is more hated.

I can't believe the amount of people in here who don't rate Coentrao. We were begging for him in the world cup now he's with us at spotting everyone's just forgotten what a great player he is

A player injured as often as he is brings his position on the NT for a tournament into question. If he just drank whole milk we wouldn't even have this discussion Raphael/Fabio is all we need if both are healthy...if not than Cod help us

Coentrao is prob our best LB but he should NEVER be called up again. He will be hurt if not in his first game back, it will be in his second. He is made of glass people.

No one really questions his quality it is the fact he is easily the most injury prone player we have ever had. Worse then Miguel or Jorge Andrade who were World Class and always getting hurt.

Bernardo Silva is also a worry fitness wise, don't think I've ever seen him play a full game?

I didn't see him play much for Monaco

I'll be in Lisbon during the final qualifier against Switzerland. I know many of you are more experienced than me, so question? Should I get tickets directly from the fpf site, some other site, or directly at the Estadio da Luz? Afraid I'll be ripped off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the time the ranking doesn't makse sense, but we're tied for our best ever ranking, and as European champions who are on a winning streak it's accurate (only 2 ahead of us are Germany and Brazil which makes sense because both have qualified and one is a World Cup winner).

Also means right now we're in Pot 1 for the group stage of world cup (assuming we qualify)

That is the only real benefit of being high in the rankings. With that being said, all that happens is another top nation is relegated to pot 2, and we can still just as easily end up in a group equally as challenging.

With the way the pots are going to be all seeded, being in pot 1 wont mean much.

Italy could potentially be in pot 3 along with other really good teams.

Andre Silva isn't playing for Milan, if he doesn't settle in quick, he will be doubtful or out of form for the WC.

Sanches hasn't gotten off to a good start in England, Fonte is also in poor form.

Not looking good for these guys or for our striker position.

Silva went a year too early IMO. But money talks these days, there's no common sense anymore

He starts in their Europa league games and started their prior game in the league before this last one.

They're easing him into Italian soccer.

True, but they were down 1-0 in the 70th minute today and he still sat on the bench for the rest of the game, that's not a good sign if he's fit.

it goes further than that. Joao Mario and Bernardo Silva ride the pine a lot too.

not worried about Bernardo Silva, if he remains fit he will get an automatic start soon.

Mario and Andre Silva are definitely a worry
